welcome to the thread

it is very long - and I don't know if anyone has read this thread from start to finish?

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss, the holidays are a difficult time to lose someone because of the connection/reminder. That was a beautiful poem that Totalcolour posted,

I was recently incorporated into Kirkland as well. The limit for the incorporated area is 3 chickens and no roosters...we're well within that limit
hide.gif
The other stipulation is that your coop has to be at least 10 feet from any property lines. But as you said, if you're neighbors are ok - so are you. No chickens in the other parts of Kirkland - hopefully that will change soon.

Now I wonder where you are

Our neighbor keeps telling us our chickens have escaped; then we count and find out it's someone elses chickens that live down the road. She sees them and thinks they are ours that have gotten away.

I came home early to put the girls to bed - everyone else is at MILs. Everyone enjoyed our homemade gifts and when I left our niece & nephew were playing with the kool-aid playdough we made them.

Hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas!

I'm so sorry - try and focus on the family that is with you, it was what worked for me!

Totalcolour: One of my closest friends lost their 3 month old baby girl Haylee on Christmas night last year. They has tried for years and years to get pregnant. I can't even comprehend the saddness.....she told me a few weeks ago that SHE'S PREGNANT AGAIN!! Life is so amazing, isn't it?

Many Blessings to all of you!!

See, life has a way of comong out good - I hope so with you too

CR: do you have a link to your artwork? I'm also an artist. I work in acrylics a tad but mostly Stained Glass and Fused Glass.

I work in oils and clay - lots of artists on this thread, Chickielady is another one. CR's metal work is amazing.

And . . .

survived another birthday (one of the milestones), survived Christmas morning, DH fixed me a great breakfast, everyone was happy with the presents they got, and the cat had great fun with the discarded wrapping paper, while the bows now decorate the tree

Happy belated Birthday Candy! I hope your day was special, and all of your presents were wrapped in birthday paper!

Sometimes we forget how transient life can be, we take so much for granted, and then we suddenly are hit with something incredibly horrendous. What's amazing is how resilient people are - we CAN overcome these things, especially with "a little help from our friends".

Hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas!

And back at ya Dawn! (did you go to Chehalis - did we meet?, there were so many new folks for me to meet, it's hard remembering)

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate!

Haller, 4312- sorry you're having a difficult day.

Our is great. And bad.
We're happy to spend time with our new Little Man. Very special.

We've also gotten snubbed. Again. DH's parents are in town & went to his sis' for XMas but we weren't invited because, as we were told, "we don't know what we're doing." Means 'we don't want to invite you but don't have the balls to say it.' *sigh*

Nope - have not been to Chehalis nor Monroe. I have been to a couple north-end meet ups though. Everyone I have met from BYC has been so kind!

Amen to that.

My OB said women have a much higher pain tolerance than men; I believe it.

My guy here is just the opposite.
Trying to get him to go to the doc is like pulling teeth out of a hen.
he will not take a Naproxsen (OTC) if he over works his back.
He will whine & sulk rather than taking a pill.
Like Pettect says, sometimes you need just a little something...and maybe stretch & exercise a bit to work out the spasms.
He is a martyr!!!
somad.gif

he also will not exercise & help strengthen his abs & back muscles and does little to keep the muscles in shape, so yeah..like your DH, overworking patetically underused muscles will hurt them!
Take care of your knees!!!!

Mine takes the pain pillls and still whines and moans. I started getting sick Thursday eve. Friday and Saturday were bad, but I still did all the shopping, cleaining, wrapping, cooking while played video games.
