Lovely - nice and quiet and toasty warm
Yes, I am positive (((

))) That I feel better.

Hope so, and the knee too. My ankle is almost fine - guess it was just a twist rather than a sprain.

Wish it wasn't such dreary weather - oh well . . .

. . . off to the kitchen to make some bunny for dinner.

I am making Bambi

Oh so completely adorable! My husband would divorce me, and my DD would leave

but still...how completely adorable!!! Do they need to be kept in the house or could they be in a heated coop? Maybe I could conspire with DS...

I have 4 outside right now that are doing just fine. But this was a singleton hatch...so she was kept insidefor now and my DH and DD keep saying HOUSE CHICKEN. They do have to have a decent warm coop. Mine are in a coop that runs between 30-40 depending on what it is outside. I have a heat lamp and it is insulated....but Ihave not been closing the pop doors though. I will when it gets really cold. Right now Bumble is on the floor doing the chicken thing....looking for goodies. But when I get up to go in the kitchen...bet your bottom dollar she will be following.

my run-covering tarp somehow slipped and got the whole run wet and muddy -- good thing I had thrown a whole bunch of blown-down fir branches in there ... plus there are three big deck style planters (had grass, now empty due to chicken nibbles), two recycle bins and a metal stand (meant for a chop saw) for them to perch upon

next decent day, I will corral DH and get the whole run cover re-done properly so it drains into the ore bins instead of the run, and isn't so likely to get blown around -- also set it up so I have easy access into the crate coop instead of having to undo a third of the run cover

a couple of the ore bins need to be bailed out too, they are almost full of water from all this rain -- I thought I had them set so they would overflow AWAY from the run, but the chickens did some digging to make nice dust baths, and the bins settled slightly inward instead -- I will wedge some concrete pavers under them and tilt them back the way they were designed

will need to scoop out the whole coop too, and replace with fresh sand; has been too long since I scooped it and it's all appearing ratty (I think the human access swing-down door, may have leaked in that wild wind-driven rainstorm we had a couple days ago

Just sayn!!!

What about a pinched nerve in the spine???
Sometimes piched nerves in the spine can cause horrible pain in the legs/hips !!

have you tried using those big powerful ceramic magnets?

I scoffed when that was recommended to me, when I had a bulging-but-not-quite-ruptured disk in my back

(yes that is intensely painful, I could not walk or stand or sit; I had to be carried everywhere)

but the fellow at my chiropractor's office, said Try Them, I will refund money if they don't work

amazingly within 3 minutes the pain disappeared .. I was totally shocked

I thought it was a fluke, but when I tried lying down without them, the pain returned

must be one of those "unexplainable" things that works even when we don't understand it, same thing goes for acupuncture

Funny you say that...She was told. She cried. We talked.
Me: forgot to feed rest of dogs at feed time cuz "noone" was telling me it was time (Brandy used to always start bugging me around 4:30)
When dolling out pills: I have been getting out Sabyls and Brandy's. They both have/had congestive heart failure and take Enalapril and Furosemide. I keep taking out 2 of each.
Watching out for Brandy in the middle of the floor...she like to lay upside down.

I have cried so many times.....each time I did any of the above. I wish I could access my big computer (it broke right now) I would post a picture of her. She was a black and tan pomeranian. Such a love.

So...I put the 9 week old Lavendar Orps outside in a "hay bale" coop. They have a run, but have not yet come out. They also have a light bulb. I have a thermometer in it...right now 38 degrees. DH put a "camera" in it and attached it to my TV so I can check on them. It is funny to watch.

One of the lav cockerels has hurt his leg or hip somehow. I think he may have pulled a muscle or something when in here on the paper. Will keep a close on him. Very gimpy.

OH.....I have 2 baby seramas hatched today.....the last one is pipping. Jen and CloverLeaf...these are Voltron's eggs. Bills eggs did not do. None of mine I Put in were any good either.

Her pain is in her hip, wether IN the hip joint or nearby I am not sure.
But you are correct in saying that there is things we still do not understand, or rather defy science.
I think she has a piched nerve somewhere (back?) which is making intense hip pain, like it can also do & cause sciatica.

Apparentlly that is what the EMG was for!! Radiculopathy, which would be say an impingement on the root nerve in the lumbar spine, which would manifest in a different area, such as the foot, so when the dr did the EMG, that is where most of the testing was, foot, lower leg, back of knee. When the nurse called me and said, well it's normal, I said, ok?? So that rules out one diagnosis?? I'm still in pain?? Infact it's gotten worse! He said, what would you like us to do?? I said, well lets see, I think an MRI would be in order???

They have already done radiographs and there is nothing physically wrong, with my hip, meaning to say no severe arthritis, no calcium deposits, or bony anything that would be creating the nerve pain! So yea, just cause it isn't what my doctor thinks it is you just stop looking?? Jeez!!!

I think she has a piched nerve somewhere (back?) which is making intense hip pain, like it can also do & cause sciatica.

The pain starts at the joint where the head of the femur goes into the acetabulum (sp) then it kind of wraps around the hip, so from there to the front of the hip, the pain shoots down the front of my thigh to my knee, then around the sideof the hip, to the backside, deep in the glutes, that is where the siatica starts, but, it doesn't do the typical shooting pain down the back of my leg?? And I feel a pinch on the back side of the right hip right above the glutes, that is where I think it's pinched, but, it has to be coming from the lower spine. The problem is I have a back disability from the VA they told me back in 05 my right hip pain had nothing to do with my back! I have had a bad back for 27 yrs!! I walk on two legs? I have a hard time believing that eventually it wouldn't take a toll on my hip?? The problem with that is they don't want to say that cause then they would have to give me more money! Well, I can guarantee, when they do the MRI and connect with my back, I will be all over comp and pension! I know how hard I worked when I was in, I wasn't a slacker!! When I initially hurt my back they should have taken xrays which they didn't, they said it was a back strain!... for 27 yrs???? I think this is a bulging disc too, after all is said and done, when the VA gets done with what they need to do, I think I will go for acupuncture and the Chiropractor too! But, I can't do any of that till after they finish the diagnostics. Sorry didn't mean to vent here, I am glad tho that I can get opinions from others who have had the same issues!!
