If her kids are in a photo contest, I support them whole heartedly....it is NOT SPAMMING!!!!!!!!!
What about all of us talking of & posting links for various Fairs, Stores & Farmers Markets ?
Only a Coug would call that photo a spam.
That is wrong to do to a child!
I hope she wins the contest!

I assume Coug is another Washington school. I am in the middle of Jayhawks and Wildcats country. People think I'm weird cause I follow either team. I had a friend get mad at me because I did not recognize the football coach from one of the schools.

We have Washington State Cougs, University of Washington Huskies, Gonzaga Bulldogs. Ummmm...those are the ones that I can remember real quick...not sure what Ellensburg is? The Zags have a real good basketball team - so I hear - I don't follow. When the Huskies and Cougs play (football or basketball) against each other...it can turn family member against family member. It gets pretty "cut throat".

eta: Cuz I got the team mascots messed up ..... wow....I had better watch my head...I know that things are gonna come flying at me...I am fixing it I promise. shows how much college sports I watch.

Okay, so please explain to me WHY the Rose Bowl is on TODAY and not yesterday? really irritating. I have to work today. Wanted to watch the parade yesterday too.

As much as I can appreciate the local love of The Ducks....it's Wisconsin's game as Bucky Badger takes no guff from a duck.

Yesterday was the last NFL game of the regular season so they can't double up on big games like that. Gotta spread the $$$ around. Ya know, cause those franchises might starve to death if they didn't collect the full potential of their multi millions.

I went out yesterday to check on my bees. It was just barely warm enough and they were flying. I had one hive that I was worried about and didn't see anybody flying. I opened it to find they had died. Well since there was nobody to use the stores and I know my other hives don't need them. So I cut out the honey filled comb. I now have 8#'s of honey/comb setting in front of the wood stove so it can get gently warm and strain. And of course it is within reach so I can munch some too !! ! ! !

BTW 8#'s is 3 quarts.

I had to look it up. It's an arcane rule the Tournament of Roses imposed in 1893 - no parade on Sunday because they were concerned the parade would spook horses outside churches on Sundays and disrupt services. The Bowls all signed on as well - 'never on Sunday'.

I agree but my version of this has always been "It takes less time to do it right than it does to do it over! ! ! "

I like both of those!

I tend to be a visual perfectionist type of person but with so much needing to be done I do slack on stuff and regret it later. These are good reminders.

T HI To save you having to spend your $$ to bulid a pen and buy feed for those birds that aren't yours . I would be willing to re-home but I have no $$ to buy them. I am sure they must be nice birds and all but I hate to see you having to spend $$ to care for them.

So very true!
In our case, getting it done at all will be a miracle!
We have to start stockpiling materials for the house, next month.
Once we untarp the foundation, we have to go like gang busters all the way up & roof, or at least have the roof decked so we can tarp it again.
I have a feeling it will be another long, long, long wet & cool spring like last year....hard to build in that weather.

It should go fast, though, providing we have all the stuff ready to go...

Edited to add:

And no more accidents!!!!!!!!

I am thinking positive about Spring. La Nina WILL be over. La Nina WILL be over..... I remember when I first started growing I sold at a Farmers Market that started in April and I had heads of lettuce available. Last few years I've not had heads until June. We are due for a nice Spring!
