oh, I love Nonesense mushrooms, what was the price ???
Too far for me to drive though....
On that note, I was wondering if there is any co ops out here in my neck of the woods, or maybe getting a group started...maybe contact the Grange & see how many local farm producers would like to form a local co op ??
So any input there ?
Not like I do not have enough to do !!

I know, you would think they could at least replace it with a word that kind of gives the idea of what you meant. Like maybe 'poop' or something. Ha, a pooptake!

Craptake ????????

Salina: so sorry about your serama.

Oh,btw.... Quincy is right now crowing outside and letting everyone know how gorgeous he is. He is doing great.

Thank You, still steamed... I just found her little stash of eggs in the hay. the live trap is still set and there is nothing in it. I will take that out today, I did let the rest back out into the outdoor run, they have been sleeping on the floor of the coop, wary of things from above I guess. they are very watchful at the moment.
Today its war on the rats, I went in the coop last night and got ran over by one. time to bait every tunnel and hole I find. I want to get a rat zapper to. locked the cat in there once and he just sat and cried all night..the big baby.
Quincy needs some pics posted soon. would love to see how he progress's

I have been setting 3 rat traps daily, and in the last week or so, I have caught at least 1 mouse every day, sometimes 2.
Started the van yesterday and a mouse jumped out from under the hood & went hauling across the yard quickly followed by 10 or 15 Cuckoo Marans who were milling about around the van...tough luck mousie !!!!!!!
I noticed the gophers are heaping up fresh dirt all over the area..........all the critters are waking up from winter

Thanks, but I can't help thinking that there has to be a way to clean them without chemicals that could harm them...something that dissolves wax & can be safely used around bees, safe after rinsing.

Not to sound odd....but what about a torch? Be really careful as to NOT burn the frame but light enough to warm up the old wax and residue and maybe you can use a scraper to scrape it off?

What ever happened to replacing ""bad"" words with the correct word...like feces ??
So it would be fecetakes ?????????

Or cat pi$$ would be cat urine ????????? not tick !!
What is cat tick ??

I have wondered about a BIG pot of boiling water and dunk them. I just don't know how much heat the plastic can take.
Again we just use sand blaster. But if ya don't have one that makes it hard.

oh are these plastic frames? My dad always had wood ones. the torch idea would of course not work for that.

Cannot scrape it off as the plastic frame has hexes in it that are indented, only a brush can get in the holes..or CRs sand blaster.
The frame is not smooth.

all those little hexes are like shallow hexagon shaped cups.
