One thing that makes me mad is Dr's write prescriptions for Lipitor and other cholesterol lowering drugs like they are handing out candy. These drugs do lower cholesterol, however they have no clinically significant affect in reducing the number of heart attacks in the people who take these drugs! There is something else going on here! It is not simply the cholesterol number that causes the hear attack.

I'll stick to my oatmeal with Cinnamon. Oatmeal reduces cholesterol and cinnamon helps control blood sugar, and I am not poisoning myself!

I agree. A 100% natural diet with no additives. Lots of herbs and whole grains, gluten free if need be. Everything whole and pure and raw as much as possible. Plenty of fresh air and exercise. I know there are people who have no choice but to be on the drugs the doctors put them on but we really need to be advocates for our own health. There are so many people on so many drugs and they don't even question it. They feel more sick on the drugs than when they started taking them.

I cant take drugs at all they make me sick. I also have IBS and losts of other crappy things

See, more doctors with medical degrees from Mars!

Now, I don't like lawyers, but I think in this case you should talk to one.

Also, make sure she doesn't have to fork out a dime for this medical stuff. SHE needs to be compensated

I have no doubt that a lawyer that specializes in malpractice would hesitate to take this case. Unacceptable mistakes, including the MRI Drs who failed to report the clamps and the ambulance drivers have to be made responsible. Have to! I'm not of the mindset to jump and sue at every turn but this is absolutely a situation that deserves some shaking up.

This last EE cockerel of Kaneke's that I've promised to give back to her is acting like a dumb teenager and is about to go on restriction! Two mornings ago he started crowing at 5:30 AM. Since I am smack dab in the middle of Suburbia we are officially outlaws now. I put on my robe, ran outside to the coop and picked him up to spend a couple of hours in darkness in the bunny cage in the garage. When the sun came up, he was let out with the rest of the flock. Last evening I got home from rehearsal about 5 PM so it was already dark. I checked to make sure everyone was safe in the coop and the cockerel was missing! I checked around the yard with the flashlight and then finally got the bright idea to look UP, where I found him roosting on the very top peak of coop roof. Argh. DH wasn't home, so I got the ladder out of the garage and of course, every time I got near him, he would run to the other side of the roof which is 12 feet away. I made sure our Golden Retriever was outside to keep watch and protect the dumbhead and waited for DH to come home. This was obviously a 2 person job. When DH arrived home we played chicken ping pong across the roof, until little roo finally jumped off so we could corner him and catch him in the dark. I'm sure we looked ridiculous. So Mr. "Cock of the Flock" spent another quiet and dark night in the garage where he will continue to spend his nights. I don't need any chicken police at my house to discover I'm a mere 7 chickens over my legal limit according to Pierce County code. I could NOT make the decision which 7 would have to go if I were busted!

I am firmly within an official agriculture zone in the Lacey Urban Growth Area myself (that I asked politely be changed from a Medium and High Density Residential Zoning in the proposed plan, pointing out the cows and the Ag open Space taxation status, and they said "Oh, my, yes, of course." Easiest government interaction ever) and thus protected by the Lacey Freedom to Farm ordinance. Which means I couls have a commercial chicken farm if I had no conscience about these things. And I'm still having people giving me the fish eye because of my extremely beautiful and melodic roosters.

Meanwhile, I've had another one of those 3am back-deck screaming marital/financial arguments in the subdivision last night. I thought at first it was coyotes, but they don't usually call each other the names these people were using.
