Wanted to add: That I do have the correct water containers in my home made bator that are THE BEST no other water reservoirs work as good as these 2....I actually freak if I cannot find these 2 containers as they produce the PERFECT humidity level, tried & true.
DH has asked me why we cannot use just any plastic container for water.....it just will not do!!!!!!!!!!
This is fail safe with my margarine container...added that we do not use margarine & if I ever loose this container, I'm sunk!

OK so now that I have caught up..... here is a little of our day. Took dw to the ortho Doc for her knee. So he says that he thinks the best thing to do at this point is Corte injection. So she says ok. Dr. starts and Iseeshe is holding her breath BAD. I start telling her to breathe etc. doc get done and as he turns to put the needle away I see her turn to jello. She was setting up on the table and started falling backoff the side. I jumped up and caught her just as her head went

on the wall. The doc jumps into action andhelps me get her back onto the bed. Doc says Wow haven't seen that in a long time. (It's a vaso something). She finally starts coming to and all is good but talk about freak me out. Cause first thing she said was "where am I" "why are we here". then she came to good and the doc (gotta love him) says bet ya won't let me talk ya into that again. We

all the way home.

I really like how user friendly the "insert image" button is compared to previous.
I was also wondering if anyone has any information on where I might find LF Cochins or Ameraucanas to buy. I REALLY don't want to resort to a hatchery. We do organic, so someone that raises organically would be a plus. I would like NOT to have to drive further than like 3 hours. I am from Central Whidbey Island. Thanks for any help!

Yes it was very scarrrry for me based on her history. This was a full eyes rolled back checked out time. Lucky I was there and saw it coming. Otherwise she would have gone off head first tween the bed and wall because doc had his back turned and the nurse totally didn't see it coming.

it's called a vasovagal response ... the vagus nerve stimulates the brain to dilate the blood vessels, so the blood pressure falls and semi- or unconsciousness results; DH has had it happen too

wish it were consciously controllable; I have a needle phobia and it would be much easier for all concerned if I were out of it before the needle approached; oddly it is all ok once the need

X2 and the bestest best thing My doc said to do about my knees, is to loose weight.
Period.
Cortisone does not stop the issue.
Just masks it, that is why I am hard at work trying to exercise & eat less, but it is hard when U R A celiac.
I refuse C-shots.

Yes..and using a different marg container just will not do.
In the first place, a long time old famous breeder told me to UP my humidity from day one, not on lockdown day...raise it to 65% or better from day one & keep it there.
Raising it high on lockdown is too late, he said.
Chicks will be sticky inside after too little humidty for so long..and cannot turn around.
So I have followed hhis instructions & ya know~~~~~~~~~he is right!
And these 2 containers work excellent!!!!!'
This is my homemade incubator /hatcher.
I use a big cabinet incubator to incubate, but this one to hatch, and it is ecellent!!!!!!
