Well we went to town, got some stuff done & everything is so pretty.
Then cleaned poop boards.
My chookies do not want to go outside.
They are all inside playing poker & some complained they wanted cable TV installed as they are very board.
The Turkeys have no issue with snow & have been outside the whole time.
Mr Tom does want a stocking cap though, as his head is turning blue & a lovely shade of turquoise, and I told him so.
The restaurant I supply eggs to is not doing such a big business lately since X-mas & now this snow....town is kind of empty.

So, I am lazing around now.
Apparently we are in for a serious storm of snow starting tonight.
We had 3 " yesterday then it started to melt, and then froze & got at least 4" last night...still another 2" so far today..........weather dudes are saying up to 10" tonight even down to sea level.......

Glad we are stocked up !!!!!!!!!!!

Its been snowing most of the day, Id say it stopped for maybe 2 hr and now its doing it again..

Wether your hens are mature & laying or not has nothing to do with his bad behaviour.
Cockerels still get "what they want" even if the pullets are not quite laying yet.
But congrats on eggs!!!

supposed to get 8.5 inches of snow sometime tonight. i went shopping for food and filled my 2 little dorm fridges full. I almost thought about giving people a ride and chargin $5 per person. i feel sooo smug being able to drive around in my little subi Impreza when people in bmw and mercedes benz are stuck in the stoplight.

you know... since some people online are underground chicken owners in the city.... what harm is it for you guys to provide those milk formula's to the abandoned baby deer? if no one knows then it shouldn't hurt to have it with the goats or sheep..... I don't know, i hate letting interesting or cute things go to waste. last spring i found a recently dead great horned owl, called the raptor expert at WSU to see if he wanted it, yes. so i brought it. i thought it would be funny if i got in trouble, pot kids are in the news all the time and get a slap on the wrists. if i got expelled for trafficking a dead bird then that would be hilarious. my risk provided more chance to understand raptors for the rescue program here.... just a few weeks ago they took in an injured snowy owl.... locally. they normally do not come this far south.

I am going to be an Aunt on June 5th. my sister found out today that it is a boy. i bought 3 flannel baby print fabrics to make a blanket.

I know I was bad on Sat getting my sweet Buff Silkie Hen and Rooster from Catdance, but just had to do it. Of course a few years back the money I spent on the BCM eggs from all over the US wasnt cheap. So glad hubby doesnt ask
