Natural Resource Conservation Service. They are working with EQUIP ( don't know what that stands for but they have lots of Farm grants available) to put up these tunnels (walk in hoop houses similar to a greenhouse but a very basic design and moveable). You have to participate in a study and provide them with your results but the grant will pay for 75% of the tunnel which cost around $6000. I will probably qualify as 'beginning farmer' and then the tunnel will be funded at 90%. I really need one to supply produce year round for the co op. It will also expand my summer growing space. I really need the grant. I can't afford one by myself.

Has anybody else noticed that we have had several "visitors" from other states lately ??? Maybe it is due to our post count. Seems that the WA thread is a little more active than the others. Like can you believe at 62,000 ++ posts we are double what the next closest (Michigan) is with 31,000 ++ And people say we talk a lot SHEEEESH

Yes, thats very cool. I think we are the chattiest because we are always stuck inside! It is harder to keep up in the winter than it is in the summer. Way more posting in winter. But it's also because we are a super great bunch of people that have had the good fortune of finding each other. We just hit it off!
I do love to hear from peeps in other states. It would be fun to pop in on their threads too.

It was probably from a bee keeper who had more hair than me and the bees got in his hair. I have seen it happen! Just one more advantage to having one of these perfect heads that didn't need to be hidden under a bunch of hair! !
