Question and CL don't go any where!  If I don't have a Roo in with my hens, why are my eggs still getting blood spots in them?? I thought that was a result of the breeding process??
ok let me clarify, blood spots in the egg, like whites/yoke?

blood from the chicken can get into the yolk occasionally while the egg is being formed, especially if she experiences any stress during the process

The blood spots are from ruptured capillaries in the repro tract of the hen.  Nothing to do with the eggs  being fertile.

Oh, hmm... it doesn't bother me, but, I was selling eggs and think it may have turned the buyer off!    :/
Thanks for that, I guess, the only time I had noticed it was when the rooster was with the hens, so, I assumed it was from that?? 

If your selling and they are light colored you can candle them to check for meat spots or blood spots...

A sad note. Last week I finally made the decision to let Puppy aka the Big Dog go to the rainbow bridge. I hope that somehow he might be with my Kaitlyn and that they will be playing together, until it's time for me to join them. Puppy was losing weight, and was chewing holes in his hide. We just couldn't control the allergies anymore. He would have been 13 years old on February 10th. He out lived his life expectancy by many years. I miss him.

Well I have to cut up all the brush from the 2 willow trees that had to be taken out. I am also going to have to do some repair on the runs cover. My DS managed to get the big willow down last night, but he managed to drop a large chunk of tree trunk into the run. I am also going to need some new sections of plastic panels to fix the spots that got broken when the first tree came down. I am amazed that there wasn't more damage. Both willow trees were in the chickens run. At least now they will have a lot more sunshine to play in.

Well, got to go take care of chores but wanted to post for computer buffs here, my system has 512 MB of RAM -Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU, 28000 GHZ-
whatever that means....so is it enough ?
Do I need more ?

Did a disc check this morning, degragged last night....seems to be a little less constipated this morning, a little faster.

I do not know what "normal" RAM is, so cannot tell if I have too little or not.
Maybe others can say what they have ?

I think I paid all of $20 for the additional memory .. Dangerous Dan's hourly charge was the "big" ticket item, and it would have been the same regardless of how much memory he put in, as he was also evaluating/updating all the software drivers, and verifying that there were no residual Trojans or keyloggers or backdoors in the mix .... so I basically got a brand-new CLEAN computer for under $100 ... and I think he put in a dual-boot system so it's possible I have a 64 bit processor also though I don't think XP supports such

dual-boot systems have nothing to do with 64bit. Dual-boot means that when you boot up you choose from a list of two or more operation systems to boot the computer into.

Yes - RAM would help your situation a lot. Depending on what you're doing - you want at least 2 GB RAM (512 is basically 1/2 GB); and if you had 4 GB you'd be going much faster.

If the computer is running XP sp3 the computer will need more than 2 gigs. In all my test XP sp3 used all 2 gigs and left none for anything else. If the computer is using Vista the computer will need at least 2 gigs. If the computer is using Windows 7 the computer will need at least 1 gig. If the computer is running xp 32bit or Vista 32bit then the OS will only see 3 gigs even if you put 4 gigs in. My memory is a little foggy about what Vista will see, Maybe I should upgrade my memory.

Yup most likely. If headed north you can see the big sign, I think it's on the roof. There is also an AM/PM right next to it. It's the White pass Hwy exit to Yakima.

So, justbugged and Zgoatlady are from Enumclaw. (Enumscratch as we used to call it and sadly think that was a clever zing...). I grew up down the road in Buckley. I know, I know, arch rivals and all that, but since you were bigger and usually better at everything, I hope you'll forgive me for my origins. In fact, during high school I saw a list of the class offerings at Enumclaw High and was green with envy, you had so much more variety than we did at White River. I personally would have changed schools in a heartbeat. This no doubt reveals a sad lack of school spirit, but it was what it was.

Any Buckley people ever check in here? Haven't been back there in a few years now, since my parents passed, but used to get back several times a year and was always amazed at the growth (and the traffic!) compared to when I lived there. Of course, I graduated from HS in 1981, ao it's been a long time....
