I have good bourbon, glenfiddich whiskey, Bombay Sapphire Gin, Bacardi Rum, and Kahlua. (and a bottle of strawberry schnapps someone left behind, yuck.) Sherry and vermouth too, but I use those in cooking.

But now I'm craving for a bloody mary and I have no vodka ... Dang ice maker is broken too - stopped working after the power outage and I have no ice. No ice needed in my bloody mary.

If you were here in the crappy cabin......you'd have a perfect drink & destresser !!!!!!!!!

I have ICE CUBE TRAYS !!!!!!!!!!!

Nice sewing machine! When my 1960's viking workhorse died, I found a new "Husky Star" husqueverna for $150. That was far cheaper than the repair was going to cost me. Sews okay on standard things but can't handle seams on denim and heavier fabrics, and the tension is difficult to get right on thin silky fabrics. It was a promo machine, and standard husky/viking bobbins and lights don't fit it. Some day I will upgrade or get the 90# behemoth repaired.

The bourbon burns the tongue and leaves a peachy taste behind; smells nice though.

YUCK you are so corect there ! BUTT, if ya use a bita whiskey and some milk and a bit of kaluah...ya got yourself a very nice Irish Whiskey, Cream atop or not. The important thing here is to de stress and do something nice for you~~~~~~~~~~~

That is true, you need to relax some how.
Forget about work and the kids just think of laying in the sun (not to hot and down worry about the burn you wont get one) and hearing the ocean and the breeze..

Bourbon is going down a little smoother, feels good on the throat! By 2pm each day, all that talking has my tongue feeling like a dried up hunk of leather! Today one of my coworkers brought in energy drinks as we are all dragging.

I think we are all gonna get sick. Someone had enough time to run to the terriyaki place next door and grab an order of sweet and sour. She put it in the back room and we were all sneaking back there to pick off bits to eat whenever we had to get anything off the printer. Can't do chicken yet, so I picked at the rice. I had my own fork, but everyone else was sharing. I hope no one else ate the rice!

When I have them sign the consent form before I start the tax interview (a page full of teeny tiny leagalese), I tell everyone that it states that they are all signing their entire refund over to me. Some laugh, most don't notice. People will sign anything you put in front of them. All it really states is that if they are unhappy with me they wil contact the company and go through arbitration to resolve any issues.

When the return is complete, I look at those big EIC credits and dream of what tropical island i'd be relaxing on if it really did suddenly end up in my bank account.

get some hot sour soup from the Chinese restaurant ... not sure which ingredient is the "magic" one but it usually cures all my flu and cold IF I get it before it starts or right afterwards

if I wait until I start coughing ... too bad

Oh I know the feeling when I was a hair stylist that is what Christmas and New Years was like. I got married on Jan 20 one year and spent the next week in bed alone I was so sick. Poor husband he took care of me, but not the honeymoon we wanted.

Ive done the HR training for two years didn't take it this year. The owner of the place said stop being a bus driver and I'll hire you. Well NO they don't pay me for the full year just this time of the year. I love the stuff and learning, now all my friends ask me about all the stuff..

Take lots of Vit and eat good food and oh wash your hands often and wipe off your table too, that could help with the bugs coming your way.. You don't have to be weird about it just use the towelettes and if they want to shake hands so oh my gosh Ive got a little cold coming on I don't think you want to get it. Might help...

So I know not everyone likes Walmart but my youngest worked there at Thanksgiving time and Christmas time and they kept him. Well I'm so darn proud of him they want to make him into a supervisor or something like that. He was told yesterday that 25 of the upper people in the store thought it would be a good fit for him.. So now he has to take a test next week and we will see.
This is far better than the car wash he was working at last year, they would call the day he needed to work and say come it. That was crap...

Now we are looking for a cheap car for him to drive back and forth to work. Have to go in a few to pick him up...
