They are sweet, docile, goofy, beautiful, fun dual purpose birds that lay lots of big eggs!! And that's just the edited-for-tv version. Fluffy faces, feathered legs, and funky toes....what's not to love??

Geeze have you heard of the crazy cat lady?.. I have a feeling I am gonna turn into the crazy chicken lady. Who knew there were so many different types of chickens and so many colors.... I want some of them all. Oh by the way I saw a picture of a Jubilee Orpington.... AND omg they are so pretty.

But waite ! What about the tax return ?

Nope, no return here...we owe $2500 from last year....Government will take any/all or at least most. I still need to get the paperwork to my tax person. Nice thought though.. LOL. We have been cutting everything...phone service, TV service. Really? Do I need 125 channels that I never ? It was just time for us to "clean house" and get a bit more real.

Thought about buying a lottery ticket, but I doin't want to "break" my streak. Things are going nice. Enabled me to pay a few bills, buy some groceries, and come to Tacoma. I am going to behave.

Nope - didn't think so!
And I have to wonder how one of my buff brahmas ended up in the enclosed poop catch underneath the roosts.
I found her there this morning - no poop on her - but she was just kind of quietly hanging out down there. Now I know who's laying the pale brown eggs.
Or at least, I did when I pulled her out. It was either Ingrid, Nugget or Hillary. Absolutely no way to tell those three apart. Their size and markings are identical. Just glad I'd added a new layer of shavings last night!

I am dying to order some cream Legbar. A free range chicken that is autosexing and lays blue eggs. Irresistable!

I wouldn't mind a few of those, I bet they would great layers.

It was meant to happen! So glad you will be able to be there for your boys, that in itself is priceless.

I know. I won the $100. That night I prayed...is this money for me to go to Tacoma...or should I use it to make daily life easier? The next day we got the warranty Refund. Guess that I am to go to Tacoma. Only 1 more deciding factor...if neither boy makes it to State...but both are projected to place and go. I am very thankful for the opportunity. I will make sure to pay forward.
