This is the final weekend for the play I'm in at Tacoma Little Theatre, so I promise this will be my last story about it - at least until the next show...

Our 4th and final review was posted in this mornings Tacoma News Tribune. Alec had some very kind words about the show and the actors as well, even though it's not his favorite Neil Simon script.
I am so looking forward to meeting a couple of our WA BYCer's from the north who are coming to the show on Sunday! I promise - my stage husband Elliot and I will do our best to make you laugh. Shouldn't be too difficult - he is FANTASTIC. My favorite part of this experience has been finally having the opportunity to work with him. I've been stalking him for a couple of years now, auditioning for him, chatting him up when I've run into him, congratulating him on his past award winning performances, writing, etc. Now that I'm playing his wife, he's been forced to notice me.

Here's a link to our latest review, (including one of my favorite pics from the show) and underneath is the link to Tacoma Little Theatre and all 4 reviews from different publications, just in case you might still be considering a trip to Tacoma... the show runs tonight and tomorrow at 7:30 PM and our final performance is Sunday at 2:00 PM.
Here's a hint - you can always buy the cheap seats, which are still very good, and then move into a better seat once you're sure it's not occupied. BUT, ahem, you didn't hear that from me!

Hey guys quick question... Does anyone in here breed EE. I am thinkin of gettin one maybe 2 babies for my boys.

Yes, I can hatch some for you. I'm hoping to fire up the incubator and will put my next batch in on Monday night or Tuesday morning. I'm picking up my Salmon Faverolle eggs from Cloverleaf on Monday!

I have a couple of options for EE's/OE's. In my layer coop, I have a Lavender Ameraucana rooster over a wide variety of ladies including 2 black olive eggers, 2 black ameraucana's (so a slim chance for pure black am's to hatch), 2 Barnvelders, 1 cuckoo marans and 1 golden cuckoo marans. There is also a speckled sussex and a barred rock in there that I don't think are laying as they are older retirees.

Oh! I forgot opton number 2! I have a Cuckoo Olive Egger Rooster (he is a cross of the Lavender Ameraucana roo X Golden Cuckoo Marans hen, so he should be split for lavender) and he is over two black (split for lavender) ameraucana hens. So from this cross it is possible to get cuckoo, black, lavender or any combination of those. If I get any cuckoo lavender chicks I'll be keeping those though as that is the ultimate goal with this project is to have lavender cuckoo oe's that breed true. But you could get black cuckoo or solid black chicks that should be olive eggers. I've been collecting these eggs all week because I want to hatch as many as possible, but will be looking to rehome any black or black cuckoo babies.

Let me know if you want me to hatch some for you and how many you would like.

So I think Ron gave some coyotes a map to my house and they got two of my chickens this evening.
Got my Orp that had stopped laying due to the two dog attacks last year, and one of my "almost to POL" Welsummers.
So now I am down to 8.
Maybe I will need to get a couple more now?
Man! I guess I will need to go sit outside with my shotgun while my chickens free range.
Always happens when I go in to pee and get sidetracked for longer than I plan. Dang It!

Hope you all are having a good night!
Kim

So sorry Kim! They've been hanging out here too. Lost one of my split black Orp pullets last week. Saw him back the next day trying again. Saw another in the yard last night when I took the puppy out.

Sorry you lost one too!
I am bummed. But I find that I am not as attatched to them like I was at the beginning of this chicken adventure. Not like I am my cats.Don't get me wrong, I love my chickens and I am sad because I feel like I failed to protect them.
Are you getting LF Favorelles? Or Bantam? I have looking at that breed too.
