Just thought I would pop in and say hi. My flock got smaller today. I sold my light Sussex pair, and 3 Silkies chicks, plus 2 of the mutt hens. I think I am down to only 12 or 13 hens in the coop and run. I also still have the Porcelain Silkie in the brooder with the newer chicks. I have 7 healthy and growing Silkie chicks. I am hoping that 3 of them may be Porcelain. I am wanting a Porcelain roo to breed back to my hen.

I am also looking for some Sicilian Buttercup hens. I now have room in the coop and run for some smaller hens.

any chance I could get just a couple silkie eggs? mom and I want to hatch 1 or 2 just to learn what they are like. :D

Hi from Michigan!
Put her in a cat/dog carrier with her eggs and food and water. Think the eggs are fertile?

Hi from San Diego!!! :) I've got two very active silkie roos, one black and one splash, and only 9 hens so the odds are definitely on 'fertile'. The silkies were supposed to be girls so I'm getting ready to give them to a friend in a couple of weeks. It might be fun to see if I can hatch anything from them before they go - they're really sweet boys - so if she continues to do this, I'll get her set up. Thanks, NovaAman!

Westminster Kennel club dog show starts tonight on the USA network. 5 pm and then replayed at 8 pm. Please cheer for my grand puppy the miniature pinscher CH Marlex Classic Red Glare AKA Classie. She is a daughter of a top winning dog I bred and sent to my friend Armando. Armando is showing Classie tonight and was also the recipient of Owner handler of the year award on saturday night. Minpins hardly ever achieve the status that Classie has so its pretty thrilling for me to watch her win on this level :)

How exciting! I'll be cheering for Classie -

So, the doc at the VA in Seattle.... I had taken a copy of some of my record, the sheets that had anything at all to do with my back and hip, not that much stuff really, I made sure I high lited only the important parts and put the dates in big letters so it would be easy to peruse,
also took my EMG results done in Nov, and a disc with my 05 rads on it. Oh and BTW Terry was there with me.

Here's what happened,
he didn't really look at my records, guess he didn't have enough time, ( he acted like "why are you here") He had a hard time figuring out how to get the rad up on the computer... and then, after looking at the EMG report he said the doctor did the left side! I said no, he did the right! He said, well this report says the left, (well he doesn't know how to read the flippen thing cause it was a comparison!) yea, he made me get in a gown and he manipulated my legs, asked where it hurt, then said, well, here's what we can do, you can try and have a CAT scan done today, or I can order it for you to do back home.(Obviously we don't have that stuff or it would have been done already) the we can do a guided injection with radiographs. I opted to see if they could get the CAT scan done of the hip and back, which they did...got the back NOT the hip!!

So, here we go again! He apparently called me while my phone was out of service, and said he saw the CAT scan of the SI joint, there is arthritis there, don't know WHY they didn't do the hip but he will schedule that and the injection. I asked him point blank if he thought the hip condition was related to the back and he said no, it is the SI joint, I said what would cause that, he said maybe an injury, I said I've never injured my hip..... no answer! Here's the thing, as far as I know, arthritis is NOT a sudden onset condition, this pain which is obviously nerve pain, cause it's controlled by a nerve drug, has been going on intense like for at least 8 months or a bit longer! He saw the meds I take, I just can't understand, why it's so hard to figure this crap out?? It seems like a no brainer to me???

Anyway, so I will be back to do another CAT scan, and injection they will do the SI joint and the hip. Needless to say I was NOT impressed with him, and if I get the run around after these results, I will be calling my congressmen, ALL OF THEM!!! And if any of them can tear themselves away from voting on ridiculous needless issues, instead of working on our budget, I might get one of them to pay attention!!!

Not holding my breath!!

Red Reiner - of course I will watch Westminster and cheer for Classie. I used to show and breed Cockers many moons ago, I remember CH. Rebelwood's Cassanova Von Curt - think I got the name right, a famous red Minpin of years gone by. Whoppee. Do you know what groups they judge the first day??

Oh gotta tell ya, I got an email from a new guy at WFF, he wanted to know if I had any Muscovy's for sale. I told him yes and I was able to sell my Blue drake and two hens to him, he's from Ellensburg so he met me at Freddies in Yakima yesterday! That was pretty cool!
Well, I'm warming up my Brinsea to put all my hatching eggs in and hoping I have enough room! Terry is trying to get me to hatch a few mixes too, ( got news for him, if it's tight in the bator the good eggs go first!!) LOL!!!

Hi from California,

Is there a breeder in Washington that has Silver Gray Dorkings and would sell some hatching eggs. I am helping with a project to increase hatch-ability. Only getting from 0 to 4 to hatch out of 12 eggs. If we get getter results with the crossed chickens, I will share eggs back.

Thanks! Great forum you have here
