That is so sad. I think they should not send chicks until the weather warms up - poor little things! The USPS seems to be slower than ever at delivering mail lately.

our car insurance cards were supposedly mailed FEB EIGHTH ... airmailed allegedly ... today was the FOURTEENTH and they did not arrive today


we are still stuck in the house with no personal transportation other than our two feet luckily the grocery store is only three blocks away (the EXPENSIVE one)


Costco is seven miles away (and 1500 feet below us) ... Walmart is about ten or twelve away, same altitude as Costco ... and the road from here to there is a highway, everyone drives 65 to 70 on it


DH was on phone with the company for over half an hour today, we suggested they send out a second batch of cards FedEx Overnight, but they declined ... enough to make you want to change companies except the competitors charge darned near twice as much


they just aren't set up for people with two domiciles, with cars at each .... no way could we DRIVE between the two

Can't they send one to your e-mail to print out?? That's how are's does it?? In this day and age, that's pretty antiquated and not very effective if they have to send it to you in the mail???

no operable printer here; they all dried out while we were gone, would have to buy a new one, and .. gee, no car, no way to get down to buy one? waiting to see if what they sent over a WEEK ago (they say??) gets here in mail today

I don't have Com Cast. They aren't out here in the styx where I am. We still have the old 2 cups and a string phone system.

Hey! i just switched to Google Chrome! And yea, lightning speed!! And I imported all my bookmarks!! Ya know I never did get that down load from the website greg mentioned!! It greyed me out yesterday when I tried to download it and never did go to my e-mail??

What a bummer!!

I have to run errands but when I get back I am going to do my first ad for sale on the big e-bay site...hope I do not screw it up.
RainWolf's Mommie lon e-bay constantly & was gonna give me tips last time I was there but we had so little time....

So...I am gonna give it a try...

AND you guys look at the Free Classifieds link I posted above, you can post, free, it is like an e-bay edition of local Craigs List.

I must be in a bad mood, I'm making puns.

Nothing's wrong here, beyond the fact that my next-door cousin has a sixteen-year-old son* who doesn't know how to replace a hose-end, or even what a hose-end mender is. The pump kept short-cycling and kept me awake all night, and it turns out that the shiny brass hose end screwed into the potmetal float has met the end of all unlike metals in soft water with sand in, and is leaking about a gallon a minute. OH: and there is currently no gate I can go through to get from my cousin's yard to the side close to my house without leaving said gate unlatched.

Lucky for me, after finding the leak I can't repair it because there's noway to get to the tank right now without wading in the pond the leak created and I do not have rubber boots (ones to fit me are too expensive for me to buy, please don't make suggestions, it will just make me crankier, I have wide feet (and I'm diabetic, so proper fit is not something I can ignore)and calf muscles that have pushed way too much weight way too many miles and I've looked everywhere. Honest. You can take my word for it).

I shouldn't be sitting here right now, because I've got to tether the sheep in the orchard and put laundry on the line and get some construction done except I'm too tired to stand up right now. I've got seven more minutes to drink a glass of water and order my insulin and otherwise do a few sitting-down housekeeping chores, so to speak.

You really don't want me hanging out here right now, I'm ready to enviscerate something.



*who also cannot cook or do laundry, but does have a drivers license and a vehicle.

It takes some getting used to, tabs are on top, so to click out of a site you close the tab, don't keep hitting the red X in upper right like on Internet Explorer or you shut down the whole web.........then I had to defrag a few times.....

then do not forget to reset the new browser to delete cache when you turn puter off & get all those cookies back that web surfing has taken !
