Well, I found out today, that a VERY good friend of the family has cancer, not sure what kind, actually she was diagnosed last month, My mother was devastated!! I got an email from mom and she said her husband called and said she hadn't eaten since Saturday and she is sleeping all the time!! This is so.....I don't even know the words to use except bad one!!

She was a great person and had so much life left!! And then as my mother pointed out and made me cry cause it's all so true, then you have scumbag, deviants who are walking around allowed to hurt children!!! As much as I am a BELIEVER it's hard to find the justice!!!

Its just so weird. She was out with the rest of her flock yesterday and was even out playing in the dog kennel and roosting on top of it. She was so stiff so she must have passed awhile ago. Poor Star. Just thankful my daughter forgot to do her chores, otherwise I would have had a very upset 8 year old right before school. *sighs* now I am down to 4 in the coop and 4, 3 week old pullets.

RIP Star.

That is so sad. Very sorry to hear about your pullet KMoran. It's a mystery. Hope all of your other girls stay well and that your little ones are growing strong!

Geese bite hard!! At least canadian geese do. One bit my knee cap when I was out walking (didn't know it was "broody" time for them). It really raised a BIG Goose egg on my knee, couldn't believe something with no teeth could hurt so much.
