I agree CR there are times ya just don't do what your told

My DW told me when I had 12 chickens NOT to get any MORE... I have 29 now with 7 more on the way

I think pretty soon your wife will either be making Chicken Pot Pies or she'll bring you a sleeping bag so you can stay in the coop with your chickens! I have 38, but unfortunately many are of the gender that are better in pies.

One thing with Autism is that autistic kids take almost everything literally and pretty much don't lie and don't deviate from the rules. I don't know if it is that or if he is just a good kid. When he was a lot younger he once got into DH's movie collection and had all the disks on the floor out of their cases. I told him he better get them back into their proper cases or Dad would have a cow when he got home. We were putting them away when we heard the garage door open. Alex tore off down the stairs. I asked him where he was going because we were not done yet "I'm off to see the cow that dad has with him!" I still laugh when I think of that.

Sorry but I think that is pretty funny. Laughing with ya not at ya!

I only read a few random pages so now I need to go back and find out what is going on... especially what "The more the bigger the better!" is in reference to!

I always dread finding a sick chicken - they make me feel so helpless. Last year I lost an egg-bound hen. I tried giving her a warm bath after I read tis sometimes loosens things up, but the instant she felt the water, she had a seizure and died. Then I felt guilty for trying to help. Hopefully Pettec's hen has a more successful outcome.

Easy take deep breaths and think of good things. Like how much you would love to have some fluffy but chickens running around !
