Dang! What is with all this white stuff? 5 inches? I had to go out and knock it off the tarps over the run this morning. Luckily it's stopped and looks like it is starting to melt.
I am so sorry about all the saddness with people's pets. We love and care for our pets and it's hard to let them go and we worry so much when they are not well.
Does anyone know who might raise and sell LF Faverolle's? I know we have some bantams on here but I would like the LF.
Gotta design the new coop that I am going to talk my DH and Dad into helping me build.

Ok so I will try to post what I had earlier!
We don't have the white stuff! BUT WE HAVE WIND!!!! I had check the weather last night and it said we were going to get high winds so I went out and baton down the hatches and secured all missle hazards!! It started hard at 3am, cause it woke me up! I got on and checked weather this am and it said snow warning for Eastern Or mts and pretty much all Wa mountains. Then I read it will have blowing snow around La Grande, OR!! Terry is coming from ID that way and isn't loaded!!
I called him and he said he had heard the report.
In other news, I had first tried to post that last night I candled the eggs in the bator, 10 day candle, and all was well, but......
I walked in there an hour ago and the flippn thing was off!!
The hygrometer was down to 88 degrees!!!!
So it had probably been acouple hours!! some how the cord got stuck as the rocker was rocking up and pulled it just a little, enough to stop it!!! Anyway, at candleing last night we had some movement and some really nice looking vein development!! I'm gonna let it run for acouple hours and check again!!! Dang it!!!

Don't you dare give up on em yet. Think about RRF she was without power for 91 hours. at 35 hours she had hatches.

We got just gobs of rain last night, all night. Looking out the upstairs windows, it looks like there are various sized mirrors smattered all about the property. The chickens love the drowning worms, but are not so enthused about the muddy bits. Sorry that people are getting such snow, and/or the wind. Better days are coming.

oh yea, I forgot to tell you, (sometimes I'm smarter than the average bear!!) LOL!!
We have this old over head camper we bought a year and half ago, bought it for 500.00 . Off of CL, now here is why I don't trust people, I had a sneaking suspicion but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. This was an older gal / RN said her daughter had been living in it, everything worked, no problem, just had to get it moved,cause it was at an apartment complex. Ok, I get that, but, there was no way to test stuff where it was sitting, and we had actually had a trip planned cause I had been speaking to her for a week, so we were going to go, load it up and take our trip!!! WRONG!! To make a long story short, we had trouble loading it, finally got it back home, tried to start everything, and yea.... it didn't work!! Now, that was the electrical hook up, I hooked it up and tried the fridge and it never came on, ect, the propane tanks are old as crap, and there was no propane in it!! Anyway, it's my fault cause I shouldn't have been in a hurry and I should have figured things out before we decided to take it. So, then we were going to fix it up, then we ended up buying a way nicer camper, so we were going to part this out!
I was walking by it the other day and opened the door.......and all of the sudden.......(wait for it)........I got a brain storm!!!
I'm going to make it my chick/ baby goatie room!!
It's insulated and had linoleum and if we take some stuff out, we will have plenty of room!!!! Might need to buy some stuff to poop proof it ect, cause yea, they aren't going to be running amuck in there but ya!!!
And believe it or not my husband thought it was a grand idea!!!!! Yeaaaaa I got something right!!!! LOL!!!!
So although I probably shouldn't have bought it, I think this idea will serve to utilize it effectively as long as it's on the property!!!!
