oh yea, I forgot to tell you, (sometimes I'm smarter than the average bear!!) LOL!!
We have this old over head camper we bought a year and half ago, bought it for 500.00 . Off of CL, now here is why I don't trust people, I had a sneaking suspicion but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. This was an older gal / RN said her daughter had been living in it, everything worked, no problem, just had to get it moved, cause it was at an apartment complex. Ok, I get that, but, there was no way to test stuff where it was sitting, and we had actually had a trip planned cause I had been speaking to her for a week, so we were going to go, load it up and take our trip!!! WRONG!! To make a long story short, we had trouble loading it, finally got it back home, tried to start everything, and yea.... it didn't work!! Now, that was the electrical hook up, I hooked it up and tried the fridge and it never came on, ect, the propane tanks are old as crap, and there was no propane in it!! Anyway, it's my fault cause I shouldn't have been in a hurry and I should have figured things out before we decided to take it. So, then we were going to fix it up, then we ended up buying a way nicer camper, so we were going to part this out!
I was walking by it the other day and opened the door.......and all of the sudden.......(wait for it)........I got a brain storm!!!
I'm going to make it my chick/ baby goatie room!!

It's insulated and had linoleum and if we take some stuff out, we will have plenty of room!!!! Might need to buy some stuff to poop proof it ect, cause yea, they aren't going to be running amuck in there but ya!!!
And believe it or not my husband thought it was a grand idea!!!!! Yeaaaaa I got something right!!!! LOL!!!!

So although I probably shouldn't have bought it, I think this idea will serve to utilize it effectively as long as it's on the property!!!!
We used our old camper this way back in 1999. It worked very well. We should have remodeled the whole thing because it wasn't very easy to clean. We had used the camper for years, and we hadn't gotten to where we just didn't use the camper anymore. So a chicken coop was a great use, plus at the time I had over 100 chickens, so I needed the space. When we move back here, we kind of had a wienie roast with it. The llamas were very impressed with the sight, and there was less than 300 lbs of scrap leftover.

We had a "short" power outage last night - not sure how long, but I don't think it was long enough to affect the incubator

(not that we need any more chickens)

It got sunny for a while, then suddenly it got "black". Are we going to get snow or what?

I was just getting the seed planting itch too.

I WAS AGHAST - I went shopping and I couldn't believe the price of meat; a package of beef franks was almost $8, and bread and cereal, forget it. Everything's through the roof - where have I been lately? I bought a can of olive oil and it was almost $30!

I may have to give up food altogether. Luckily I make wine, so we can still drink that!

HA !! You ought to try shopping for a week at the Health Food Store (any store !) for Gluten Free items !
No MSG, No Soy & no wheat/gluten .
A 8" long loaf of nasty "bread" costs $7-$8
Bag or cereal, good for 2 bowls, is about $8 and pancake or pizza crust mix varies at about $8.95 & makes 2 medium pizza crusts or pancakes about 8.
Pasta (rice or Quinoa) is outrageous...enough for 2 (1 meal) is over $4.

DH's dad bought a place to retire in Lake County, NorCal...20 acres and a big triple wide home.
he then built a 2 story garage which he hatched his chickens, pheasants & Emus in.
Bought HUGE commercial cabinet incubators about 5 foot tall & rolled them in there...no room for cars !
In the back was a small travel trailer someone had made into a chicken coop...the first thing he did was rip that out & haul it off.
I thought it was kinda cute...little round submarine windows with chookies peeking out...

It is hailing cows & pigs here, on & off every 15 minutes, all day now...not a good day to be a duck or a chicken.

I am holding off on planting seeds myself...especially when they sprout & grow 2 X as fast in the hot frames & will be ready to go in the green house too early.

It's bad enough to have those issues, but then the food costs on top of it - uugh!

Actually, I'm thinking of giving up bread - much as I love it, I think I could lose a lot of weight if I didn't eat it (and the accompanying BUTTER!)

I cut out all things that have gluten, went low fat and gave up all dairy 3 months ago. I have lost(and more importantly not gained back) 26 lbs! Went down 4 sizes and am feeling great! That was before I was tested and found out I should not have been eating gluten and dairy anyway.
You CAN do it!

It sounds like it was one of those dew drop trailers. They are collectors items now.

That is awesome !
I still have other issues though and have to get more tests to find the reason for the inflammation.
But yes, living without all the carbs will greatly help you loose weight (and be nice to your colon too!)
