I got nothin. I'm just checking in - been reading everyone's news, a lot of it GOOD news too! Glad Heather will be joining us in Monroe, 4312's family is going to be all together again - these are good things!
We had a nice Open House for Customer Appreciation Day at the shop yesterday. Lots of walk in business, all folks looking for an excellent deal on our wine. My biscotti came out
perfectly - I can hardly stay out of the leftovers.
My daughter called from Pullman this morning on "Cloud 9". She just booked her
own flight (for the first time) to Florence, Italy for the Study of Food and Wine. It is a summer school course that she'll be receiving 12 credits toward her major (Hospitality Business Management). In addition to class time, they'll be working 3 weeks in the kitchen restaurant, then 3 weeks in the front of the house. On weekends they'll be going on faculty led excursions to various places in Italy to visit wineries, cheese making factories, museums, etc. It is an amazing opportunity for her.
Of course, this cuts down drastically on the time I'll get to spend with her this summer, but we have to let them spread their wings, don't we?
But
my good news is, I got 8 eggs out of my 10 girls today! That's a record for us!
Husband is at Emerald Downs right now, but told me this morning he wanted to take me out to dinner tonight when he gets home. I think I'll let him.
