I've gone back a lot of pages but must be missing something.  What are the plans for a BYC meeting at Monroe?  Am I supposed to bring food for a potluck?

pips and peeps and....I forget, sorry my brain is addled with sinus infection and lots of drugs that are not working... started a thread for the monroe potluck somewhere...see I am worthless. let me go find the link lol

I got nothin. I'm just checking in - been reading everyone's news, a lot of it GOOD news too! Glad Heather will be joining us in Monroe, 4312's family is going to be all together again - these are good things!

We had a nice Open House for Customer Appreciation Day at the shop yesterday. Lots of walk in business, all folks looking for an excellent deal on our wine. My biscotti came out perfectly - I can hardly stay out of the leftovers.

My daughter called from Pullman this morning on "Cloud 9". She just booked her own flight (for the first time) to Florence, Italy for the Study of Food and Wine. It is a summer school course that she'll be receiving 12 credits toward her major (Hospitality Business Management). In addition to class time, they'll be working 3 weeks in the kitchen restaurant, then 3 weeks in the front of the house. On weekends they'll be going on faculty led excursions to various places in Italy to visit wineries, cheese making factories, museums, etc. It is an amazing opportunity for her.

Of course, this cuts down drastically on the time I'll get to spend with her this summer, but we have to let them spread their wings, don't we?

But my good news is, I got 8 eggs out of my 10 girls today! That's a record for us!

Husband is at Emerald Downs right now, but told me this morning he wanted to take me out to dinner tonight when he gets home. I think I'll let him.

I'd be on cloud 9, too!!!!

We already did one in 2010 it was a blast. Except I can't remember
why I took a chicken or why JB stole it. Maybe Ron, Kim or IMP could help.

I didn't rustle no chicken, I just been the keeper of the forgotten wandering BYC chicken. (it's all because I was one the last south-end people at the potluck.) I do believe that it is time for me to pass the chicken. So somebody will be taken home this poor lonely chicken. Rustle if you want it back, you'll need to hunt it down, rustle the wee beastie, and kill it again. Cause this bird is going to fly the coop come showtime.

Maybe this is a sign and I will be leaving first this time. (I should know better there is no way I am leaving until things are all cleaned up.)

Dana I am so excited that your daughter gets to go to Italy. I spent a week there, back in 1982. My sister and I had a fabulous time there. I hope your daughter has a blast while she is there. It is hard to realize that your job of parenting is coming to an end. It can be a hard transition from mommy, to an adult friend of a very special person.

to say the least I made it home with Jet. He is a very smart, and active dog. He is going to need a lot of reminders of the rules. But he hasn't shown any sign of aggression towards DH or myself. He is so curious and inquisitive about his new surroundings. It is going to take sometime for him to be comfortable again. I am beyond happy about how everything worked out during the past two days. I met a lot of great people today, and I was helped by so many people through out the day. I was doing very well until, this afternoon, I must have hit my limit, because I got more disorganized and forgetful. I lost my boarding pass twice, and I left my cell phone in the rental car. I had to go all the way back to the rental center to get the phone. I am pretty sure that I have been a dingbat for most of the day. I am grateful that I was able to get on an earlier flight, and I was able to get home about 10pm. I now hope that tomorrow will be better again.

So here is Jet. He needs a bath really bad. He seems to love to have his picture taken.

I have never used photobucket???
I have to upload to BYC and then Copy & Paste the image (not the code) to BYC posts. In the Sandbox I could directly post from my harddrive, but not in the new BYC. So in essence it like the old BYC system, just more clicks.

It does seem to work with the image button, just not C&P, from your computer. I see, good to know. It will save me a bit of clicking. Thanks Stumpfarmer

.

Cool picture! Makes me want to live there. The only problem I might have is where to put the chickens.

I know this is not chicken related but I have seen a few people post about bunnies and I was wondering if anyone breeds bunnies? I am looking for a Lionhead. Thanks
