Hey if you get up Capac way say Hi to my folks!!!!
Hee, hee. I had to Mapquest Capac to find out where it is. About an hour and 40 minute drive from where I am. Considering the DH's family is an eight hour drive away (still in Michigan), that's not bad. If the weather's bad for the holidays, is it okay if we just show up at your folks' instead of his? That would be swell. I also noticed that Capac is not far from Imlay City. I used to get organic chicken feed from CVK Farms of Imlay City. No, I didn't drive there, the guy had (and as far as I know, still has) a lot of customers in this area, and he would drive a van to near here every week or two or three (always on a Sunday).. You'd leave a message about what feed you wanted the next delivery, and then get a phone call the morning of saying he was 30 or 45 minutes away from the pick up point, and you'd meet him in the parking lot of a grocery store and exchange cash for a bag of feed. I liked the feed, but not so much not knowing whether he was going to show any given Sunday, and having to not make any plans until I knew whether he was coming. (I tried asking them to call ahead and reveal the next Sunday they were planning a delivery, but apparently that was too much for their small operation). Anyway, then the local mill started grinding an organic layer feed, and their hours are more convenient... ;) Do your parents have chickens? Did you grow up in Michigan and move out to Wa, or did your parents transplant themselves here?

I have some new arrivals! 6 Cream Legbar and 2 lemon Cuckoo Orpington arrived today to the post office. I posted on the Legbar thread if anyone wants to see pictures.

Hey everybody!
I'm soooo far behind I'll never catch up so I'm popping in again.
So many things are going on right now!

Man, I don't need the flu right now.

Window motor in my car went belly up today.
At least it was a dry day and DH got it torn apart and up again till the part comes in.
I got a very low score on my genetic cancer test (8 out of 100) so they ruled out the need for chemo!

I'm going to start radiation in the next week so watch out for me if I come to Monroe... I'll be glowing!

But all this will be over soon and I won't have to go see any Dr.s for 6 months.

Even though I don't get on here as often as I used to, I still think about you guy daily and hope all is well for everybody!!!

Oh, and the kids talked me into 12 new chicks! Just feed store birds so that they can sell more eggs. So far we barely have enough for our family.
So we have fuzzy butts again!
