Yum! I might need to make some for the chicks!

More notations:
On babies fresh out of the incubator::::::::::::::::::

I make Quinoa "cups" for them. Cook Quinoa as the same as rice, 2 to 1.............after it has cooled, stuff a small cup & then invert to form a quinoa cup:


Then you give it to the babies on a plastic lid..........





Within 20 minutes these brand new babes ate every spec of Quinoa.................far better protien than chick feed. Full of immolients & fluids. And impossible to ignore!

They hated the camera flash though~~~~~~~

Finally stopped snowing, but who knows what happens at night ???????????????

All good here & having Venison steaks & butter white taters & green salad w/fresh belu cheese crumbles (for him) and fresh broccoli green cabbage slaw /with pineapple & dried crasins for me !!!!!!!!!!

Still the chicken enchiladas are a FAV !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and sound way better !!!!!!!!

Boy howdy does this thread move fast. Took me like forever to find your post again Robin. Now, are you referring to Welsummers or something else? If so, I just wanted to let you know that Wellies is one of my oldest breeds. I'm taking four to the show on Saturday.

these guys do have more caruncle, so it will be interesting just HOW much more then any others!! It's a learning process for me!!

yay chicken obsessed washingtonians!!!!! i just got 5 chicks a month ago,and i love them more than anything!!!I have a buff orpington cockeral,1 bluer laced red wyandotte cockeral,silver laced pullet,easter egger mystery chick,and some seriously mystery chick,which im positive is a bantam of some sort and i dont know how i ended up with the little guy but i have him and he is so freakin adorable!

Enjoy your chicks, they are seriously addictive!

I'm having a big salad with honey balsamic vinaigrette dressing and a couple red potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, butter and sour cream! I was going to make something else but I just now got four boxes of eggs packed up, took a shower and realized it's already 9pm! So late dinner. I'm putting something (haven't decided, yet) in the crock pot tomorrow morning--so dinner will be ready when we are tomorrow night!
