If we got rid of all the unions, it would help . . . bloodsuckers!

If we got rid of the Unions, I would of lost my job 3 or 4 years ago because of my age and my five weeks vacation. They would of used some kind of excuse to get rid of me like business is slow or what ever. I have worked there 36 years and have made MILLIONS for that company. One of the Big bosses said a few years back " If everyone was as dependable and as hard working as Ron this company would be in better shape." when I do take a vacation and come back to work, the guys tell me what a crappy job the young guy did in my place. I could go on and on But I think some of you know what I'm talking about.

I will admit there are bad things about the unions too. So times we get young guys that make it past their 90 probation period then they aren't worth a sh... and the union protects them! Then I look at the Boeing unions and just shake my head !
So there are both good & bad things about unions and tax $$$ that is spent. there are good & bad things in everyday life !! even in having chickens

So totalcolour you might change your outlook on unions and Life when ya get my age

Now if I ask you do you know where Outlook Wa is would you know?? Probably not!! LOL I told my husband, I'm going to do what we used to do in the 80s and make up a couple tshirts that says " Where the Hell is Outlook WA"??? LOL!!

Ok so heres my thoughts on the Buckeye thing. I think we should buy some little kids wolverine shirts and put them on the Buckeyes and say we converted them!! ??? LOL!!!

..... Ok it was funnier when I first thought about it!!!

And I think it's pretty funny to put some Michigan wear on the Buckeyes and pass them off as Wolverine chickens. My father in law has an entire ROOM of all U of MI stuff, there's gotta be something we can use in there.

Last week, i told Himself that I was singing to the eggs and one of them started moving. He told me it was probably dying of fright.

Well, I won't be showing my one bird tomorrow. He somehow managed to trash himself and now looks craptastic.

Since I won't need to be there early for coop in, I may just show up closer to lunch time to visit. Pies are baking in the oven as we speak. JB has my phone number in case anyone needs me to pick up anything on the way in.

I know many people will abuse any system where they think they can get something for free, cheaper, discounted, etc....
some people abused the bereavement discount we had so much that they got banned from flying on us when they got caught....
one guy even had his mother "die" 10 different times! all to get a discount for a last minute flight.

BUT I have MAJOR issues with people judging me as a disability abuser. I have to go spend tax money (they are required to pay my legal fees) to fight for my disability status almost every 5 years or so.... I am currently in a legal fight that is at 3 years now just because I don't "look or act" blind. EVERY time I have to go into the SS office to sign something or another within a month I'm defending my disability.

Oh and this is SSDI the insurance I paid for in all of my paychecks and is based on how much I've worked.....

But if you were to see me walk down the street you would never think I am legally Deaf and Blind. I'm one of those people who refuses to let anything limit me. so far the major limit in my life is I can not drive. I still hike, camp, snowboard, fish, etc etc etc etc etc

and my eye doctor now says "I don't want to know what you have been doing.... it scares me!"

in my previous posts, I was talking in GENERALITIES - Please my BYC friends, don't think that any if it was aimed directly at you.

There are good and bad in all walks of life, some places there is more good, and other places more bad. It just seems to me that in a bad economy like we are suffering from, that it brings out the BAD in so many people, who otherwise would never stoop to such things.

I know that there are many people with disabilities (My SIL is one, and people wonder why she has a handicapped permit, but don't realize that every step she takes is agony because she doesn't show it.) who deserve better than we give them, and there are abusers.

Ron, re unions, I come from a country that was almost brought (some say it has been already) to it's knees by over powerful unions. People who work hard, like yourself, should be rewarded, and the 90 day probies who suddenly become loafers, should be dumped. But that is what happens when you have unions. And, I'm against tenure for teachers. There's too many bad ones out there who still have jobs because of tenure, and good ones who can't get jobs, and why so many people home school.

I am all in favour of a meritocracy, reward those who work, and fire those who don't or won't, and that goes for a lot of our leaders too, whatever party they belong to! They should be serving us, not self serving!

(My previous rants were all due to the fact I'm in the middle of struggling to get my tax paperwork together and it really makes me mad that there's so much of it. Bureaucracy. Oh well . . .)

Oh my gosh I have that album with the lady, it was my great aunts.. LOL I remember when I was little I use to look at that and think that was really sexy..
