Whoo hoo!

I think it would be a great idea for you to spend a little time away on your own! My gf and I are headed down on Friday morning and will be staying thru Sunday. We staying at Best Western Cascade Locks across the river from where the show is held. They were offering special rates for the poultry show. I know a lot of other folks are staying at that hotel too. Do you know what day you'll be headed down? Fingers crossed, the eggs you gave me this morning should be hatching a few days before the show so the babies will be headed to my gf's house for her DH to take care of. I don't trust my husband to be quite as obsessive about caring for the chicks as I am.
Glad you're going to make it to the show! It's April 20th - 22nd.

And thank you for meeting me this AM to hand over your bee-you-ti-ful eggs! I can't wait to see what hatches from them!

that is disgusting. You either need to become the crazy cat lady or get a few snakes as pets. I bought a great trap at the FS...was around $15. It is basically a "live" trap...but you catch a bunch of mice in it...then put it in a big bucket of water to drown them. Seems messy...but this winter I have caught over 20 mice in my coop and around it. I move it every so often.

Thanks for posting the pics. Could you induce your hubby into giving a list of materials and how to put that thing together? That would be a nice weekend project during a rainout weekend. Please?

Yes, please, Please, PLEASE, directions would be good. We have scrap wood and between my uncle, King of the spare parts, and myself, I think we could build one of those!

If Honeysuckle Hills and I do a road trip after tax season, who wants to be visited?

Me, me, me!!! =)

Ugh I wish... My poor daughter comes home from school every day and goes straight to the coop to see if she has any eggs.... This past weeks shes like mom I give up.... I think she must be half boy or something because she is clearly not gonna lay any eggs. I really wanted them for Easter too..... She was gonna make some decorations with the colored egg shells.

I could save you a dozen blue and pink eggs if you'd like to drive down to Kirkland. It would take me at least a week to save that many though so let me know right away!

I could be wrong

But I thought a Fart egg was just a really small egg

I've got a few in the last week. I've always called an egg without a shell a "rubber egg" one you could roll around in your hand . what do ya think

I agree!

It is not funny when ya turn on the heater & pinkies fall out & foofs of stuffing & grass..............DH drove the car all over 2 days ago & swears there is no meeces in there.............but even still !
I hope you're rodent free, but if there are pinkies you can make like RedReiner and give the chickens a treat!

honestly Ron I just don't know. I have always called them fart eggs. I get really-really small eggs...but they come from my seramas...

I think I will go look.

But no one has given me their opinion...why is my one bird only laying these "fart or rubber" eggs? They are on layer and have oyster shells. They also get scratch as a goody.

Oh did any one see my post about my mina chicks?? Just wondering?

I did, and I think that's cool! Birds are good mimics. My budgie can do sounds from my cockatiel, sugar glider, and DH. He also taught a friend's lovebird to speak budgie when he stayed over at her place. Interspecies language lessons, ha!
