I'am happy that you were able to find help here. It is a fast moving thread, but that just means that we will talk to anybody, even people from Montana or Michigan.

Hey! We are worth talking to.

Do you have a rain barrel?

I have a 55- gal on 1 coop, and a 55-gal on my green house, and a 55-gal on my kitchen (has a shed roof added onto a barn) and behind the barn we have a 350 gallon tank, and on DH's shop we have 3- 350 gallon tanks, and up on the hill we have 2- 350-gallon tanks (which we pump water up to in order to have pressure in the cabin (barn), and in the well house we have the well attached to another 350 gallon tank, enclosed so as not to freeze.
So the answer is yes, and right now they are all Flovin'nover !

Sweet! I make them from recycled drums.
My neighbor turned me in for having chickens and when the inspector came out he saw the barrels and asked if that was where the chickens sleep.
I shouldn't have laughed, I got a ticket.

I have not been out to look at the brassicas and lettuces I planted out into the garden. We start all of our stuff from seed too. Sorry to hear about what happened. If this rain doesn't cease soon, I will need a kayak to go out to plant.

I know its crazy.... Rain and wind and now they are saying we might get more snow??? I am ready for some 70 degree temps with nice sun shine.

Would anyone near Orting like a pair of Wyandotte chicks? (girl & boy). They're 3.5wks old, white with black spots.

and also, since I haven't posted here before.. Hey fellow Washingtonians!! I am located down in Orting(by Puyallup) and have a small flock of chickens, mostly Wyandotte chickens but also have 3 OE's as well. They're mainly for eggs but I have been hatching like crazy this year and getting lots of lovely little babies =)

Text from Rikke at the vet...

1,000$ for them to repair the wounds (that Rikke already did what she could on)

they did xrays, and Marty's hip is broken on the left side .. 2,000$ to operate and fix it.

They are cleaning and re-dressing her open wounds now, and will send Rikke home with some meds.

Here's it to hope that the chicken will be able to heal the hip fracture on it's own .. we cannot afford that.

Oh you MUST go see him in person !!!!!!!!!!!
And sarah Brightman is AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, why did your bator smoke ?
Wires ?
Sometimes I plug mine in & forget to clean the chick fuzz out first & it will smell awful

.ya know that burnt fingernail smell ??????????

From then on I make sure I dust it all out in between hatches.

The smoke was from it melting, it was on its way to a nice fire.. So Ive been learning how to take things apart and make something new. Now I have the fan in a still air LG that is a wafer but cant get the wafer reg. It goes from 97-101. Crap I have two wafers and I know one is new so I guess I should try the other one. I need to get the eggs in it soon like last night soon...

Did you go to court yet, or did I miss that on the MI thread? What have you done about the nasty witchy lady?
