I'm taking Polish and araucana chicks to Stevenson for Rob to sell- all vaccinated for Marek's. Can't wait for bath day Thursday. Will anyone be taking LF Silver-Laced Wyandotte chicks? I'm searching for a friend.

Very Very busy day... Got up really early and took the kids to school came home and made the hubby breakfast and then headed down to Northgate and meet up with Rainwolf and picked up two huge rain barrels. Super excited to get them cleaned and hooked up. Came home picked up the kids and worked on my hubbies car for 3 1/2 hrs in the rain.... Why is it the car always breaks when its raining not when its sunny??? Ugh oh well got the heater core replaced so how he has heat n not leaking fluid all over inside his car. Enjoyed dinner and now time for a quick shower. *YAWNS* my bed is calling my name. I hope everyone had a great day. )

I have seen some at both Snohomish and Granite Falls Co-ops. But have NO experience with them.

See that's the problem is I really don't know. Right now I have a group of birds I plan on phasing out and bringing in a group or two of Delawares. On the side though I'd like to pick up chicks that i can raise for a couple months then resell. This is a very new thing for me... I'm not even sure how many i want to go through a year lol.

Than with you saying that, I would start off with a LG or a Hova Bator Genesis model 1588 Incubator ( Ive never used the second one but my girl friend has) As for a brooder get a few large tubs and brooder heat lights and use that for awhile. This way you havent put out a lot of money in case its not your thing. I live close we can always get together and talk if you want.

Here is the first chick from our incubator hatch!

Eggs came from Hallerlake =) Now that the hatch is complete; we have seven out of seven! Yay! We documented as much as we could for the classroom. Here is the first video - will post the other two we got when I get them edited.


eta the first egg is a Brabanter & Easter Egger cross.
