Tuesday when I got home from work there was a package in my mailbox. Inside were my FABULOUS lotion bars from Dawn! They were all individually wrapped in tissue and ribbon with sweet little tags accompanying them with a list of the sweet, fragrant ingredients and how to use the lotion bar. I LOVE them. I quickly used one before I took off for a meeting that evening. While in the car my friend noticed the subtle scent and remarked how much she liked it so I had to give her one. I don't think I'm going to be able to hold onto my extras for long.

I am thrilled with my new bars and would highly recommend them - thank you for the quick delivery Dawn - they are wonderful. Using them makes me happy!

I need help.

I have more egg demand than I have egg production!

So, I'm in the market (just like every spring it seems) to add layers to my flock. I'm interested in 10 - 15 birds, at POL or a touch older. Egg production is more important to me than breed or color, but I can't take any of those Ron-Layers (no white eggs durn it!

I prefer getting birds from folks on this thread - ya'll have happy, healthy birds.

Please send me a PM should you have pullets/hens that I might be interested in. Without a PM I will not see your post in time as I don't read this thread often enough any more. I'd love to get them this weekend.

Thanks!

Dave

Speaking of the tornadoes. Today at work in the KDOT e-newsletter there was a photo of a sign and a little tidbit of information.

Blown Away: A tornado in central Kansas on April 14 took one of KDOT’s highway signs for quite a ride. A directional sign located at the junction of K-4 and K-141 in Ellsworth County was blown 27 miles landing at the Salina Municipal Golf Course.

This is one reason I would rather be in a earthquake than a tornado.
X 2, at least in an earth quake your stuff is still there (including kids & animals !)

So we went to take the 4 doz a week eggs to the bar/restaurant yesterday, and found the owner had sold the place & a new guy was remodeling it all & going full alcohol/restaurant instead of just beer/wine.

We home we went with the eggs, and I was stressing at finding another buyer.........one that would want 4-6 or more doz a week..................
About 2 hours later a jacked up Ford F-150 pulls in the driveway & DH goes to talk with the driver & then comes to get me.

Seems the woman wants 3-4 doz a week on a regular basis....she wears a bonnet, so I am thinking she is menonite ?
Einstein was thinking she was Amish.....but I pointed out the Amish do not drive jacked up F-150s.................

But how cool is that that she showed up just when I needed a buyer ????????????????????????

Bonnet + truck = Quaker, most likely, or Mennonite. A pretty bad ***** one in a jacked up truck...
