Hi you two. How are you guys doing?

I survived Saturday - overnighter at the motel (pool party) with seven 11 year old girls. Very sugared up I might add. I needed medicating by Sunday.

HA HA! I was at the hotel saturday in Omak wiith eleven 7 year olds for a pool party! 6 stayed the night. Ha Ha! That is funny! And yes very sugared up!

Well, many many pages behind. It was 90 degrees here today. All the windows are open trying to cool off the house. I may never get caught up on them all. Sorry.

you had the littler girls? I had the older girls. Dang, wished I had known that was you. That stinks. I just sat inthe lobby reading for the most part. We only had 6 stay the night too...that was enough. I tell you. We did have a good time. I was getting cranky by Sunday though...very tired.

Was that you I was supposed to meet for a drink at midnight??? LOL and deffinatly bummer! I had to stay with my girls though.. lol Those 6 that stayed at 2 large pizzas, 12 cupcakes or more and two bags of chips that night! It was crazy! Then they were up at 6 asking for breakfast! Ha Ha!

OK I am gonna stick my neck out here. I hope this doesn't come as too harsh but I really feel it needs said. I made reference to people coming to places and trying to change them to be like where they came from. Then shortly after someone says something to the effect of can this thread get back to chickens and away from daily and family life. Well I hate to break the news to ya but from the time I joined this thread and probably before there has been much of what is going on in our lives etc. It has never (that I know of) and probably never will be just chickens (poultry). See this is more of a group of friends who hang out on a wonderful chicken web site. Said group of friends also has a HUGE amount of knowledge.
Also if one takes a little time to OBSERVE some of those who have been here awhile. You will see that this is a very caring and helpful group.
OK now I DO NOT intend this next part to be or sound sarcastic simply trying to make a point and perhaps guide some of the newer peeps.

If you really want to ONLY talk chickens then you may be happier to find the thread for your preferred breed.

See I was just going to let this go and ignore it thinking it was just me but I have been contacted by some of the more senior members. They have expressed concern and displeasure with what seems to have happened to the WA thread lately.
For those who know me they know that I will speak my mind. I will stand up against what I feel is wrong. I will also be one of the first to give credit where deserved. If you have any doubts about me feel free to ask others or better yet make a point to get to know me.
With that being said I would like say welcome to the new peeps enjoy yer stay and hopefully we can resume what many of us have come to know as a fun place to interact with others.

I am sorry, that is just too funny. We went through 2 pizzas, cake, pretzels, chips, gummy worms, and other miscellaneous candy. Mine were up until 2 playing with make up, watching movies, and talking. I woke them up at 8:30 that they needed to get up and get something to eat. LOL.

Thanks CR, I think that was well said! I for one, have gotten to know a LOT of people here,and have personally met a lot too! They ARE wonderful, caring people, of whom you are one. I too welcome all who come here, and I like having a place to come to, where friends understand and are supportive and caring! I hope the new peeps will hang out long enough to find the same comfort that I do, when I'm here

HA HA! I just had my drink a little bit ago. LOL! Mine would have kept eatting if I had let them. LOL They finally crashed at 11:30. Not bad for 7 year olds.. lol they watched the movie Tangled, played with the birthday presents and giggled. This is just too too funny!

I agree 100% I know I am very new here, but honestly I would be shocked if all everyone here talked about was chickens. Every forum I have ever been a part of always leads to everyone building long lasting friendships. If you have a passion about something you of course talk about it, that is what brought you here, but as you get to know eachother you share more, and you find that you will get help in more than just one area of your life. I have been welcomed here opened armed and I guarentee I will not be leaving anytime soon! There are some amazing people on here with much to share, be it about chickens or other aspects of life.
