I too was not even born when the Mt. blew. I was not born untill April 85'

Well, tomarrow I will be haning flyers to find my sister. The only thing we found out is that not only does she have friends EVERY where, but she has been all the way to Tacoma by her self before and has friend out there too. Also she could be with a girl named Destiny(?) I guess this girl took off on the 10th and my sister the 11th. Destiny called her mom on this past Thursday and told her that she was with another white girl but would not give her name ( assuming my sister) also she tried convincing her mom that they were in Levensworth(?) or Spokan. But they had tracked her phone to Everett, by the time they got there she was no where to be found!

Here is the most recent picture of Rachel with blond hair, but it is from a year ago.

She is now platnium blond (no pink)
Blue/green eyes, they change between the two colors.
She is very short for her age, about 4'11",
Weighs between 90#-100#'s

I know some of you are very far away but she could be anywhere by now. We do have family in Spokan and Wenatchee.
I would apriciate it if you guys just kept an eye out, just be more aware of the kids around you, one of them could be her.

Really needing some thing good to happen soon, loseing my baby and now possibly loseing one of my baby sisters. I am going insane, I am tired from crying every day but when night rolls around I can't sleep from all the thoughts running through my head.

Makes it even worse because my dad could care less. Thanks you every one for all your concern.
I will put her pic and info on my fb for you. I am in Omak, and I am from Spokane so I know plenty of people there. Loads of hugs!!!!

Phew . .I'm beat. Foundation took longer than I had expected, but the new nail gun sure made quick work of the walls. South wall (8') is framed, as is the west (24'), north wall (8' with door) is cut as is the east wall (24' with window). So two walls to nail up, then the rafters and roof sheeting. Should have no trouble finishing up tomorrow. 4312 has pictures.

One more beer and I'm hitting the hay.

:)
and I thank you so much. it is looking wonderful. I am taking pictures as we go. It is just great. Thank you VF.

I just put it on my FB page for you

That ash was amazing, and stayed around for years.

I have a broody Australorp. sigh. Not sure what I'm going to do about it. My silkie is already raising four chicks and a poult, and I don't really have room for more.
You just need more hens. I have about 5 broodies now. I had 3 at a time last year and was bummed because I was not getting enough eggs. I just did a little chicken math to solve the problem. I wish I needed more birds now. I'd let 2 of the mommas hatch - the cuckoo marans from CL is the sweetest broody!

WOW, back to back 4 syllable words. You don't see that very often in any forum I go to. WOW

I used to like to play "Chicktionary" on Bing games, but it is gone now. I wish they'd have it here on BYC.

*sigh* What a day! We got rid of 4 girls, bringing us to 9 girls now, though we might still have a cockeral EE. I'm happy with who we have left, but then today one of them went completely crazy on us! She bit a neighbor boy who was holding her on his lip and made him bleed, then while William (my barely 2y/o) was holding her (his lap isn't far from his face!) she reached up and pecked both his eyes like a stealth attack! It was seriously insane and he's got 2 black eyes. See? Poor guy!!!! I don't know what is wrong with her though...do I get rid of her now that she has a proclivity to attack faces? She's a black Australorp
Ouch! Poor little guy. I'd be tempted to have that pullet for dinner. My Australorps is super friendly, I can't imagine her doiing something like that. Did something spook the birds? I still think she'd be headed for the BBQ.

She is 6.5 weeks old. Yes, both incidents happened after the other 4 left, including her sister from the incubator.

Also be sure to wash that area very carefully and check it frequently - I am probably a bit parnoid with my still ongoing battle with a strep/staph infection (by the time my currrent prescription runs out, I will have been on large doses of strong antibiotics for 2.5 months, and my leg is still red and visibly swollen).

Around the eyes like that is a very susceptible and dangerous area to get a bacterial infection. Please watch it carefully and go to the MD at the first sign of infection, or should he get a fever or chills (they often happen before the infection is visible), go to the hospital immediately.

I may be too far behind but. First Sorry for the little guy and I really hope this doesn't cause him to have issues with animals. And as for the chicken. Well I don't know enough details to say for sure but I would probably not keep a bird like that. You know more of the details than we do but please think of the safety of the kids.

Hey y'all! Wowza it just took me for.freaking.ever to catch up here! I think I was 12 pages behind and y'all were talking like crazy while I was reading too!
itsren - our EE's look a lot alike! I REALLY hope yours isn't a roo because that would mean one of mine is too. She's huge. I hope Martha does not = Marty

If someone is serious about wanting a weekend project, my DH and I would pay for gas and materials FO.SHIZZLE to get our coop (shed) relocated onto a (built-by-you) more permanent foundation in a good location, plus a new run attached. I could provide pics ahead of time too, for a better idea of the scope of the project.

I have had a seriously busy week and I'm so done. My allergies are out of control (they overtook my DOUBLE Zyrtec plus nasal spray) this week and I'm miserable, as are my kids. I think we need a day inside tomorrow, as we've been outside *too much* if there is such a thing and now we can't breathe. I hate allergies! I feel like death and need to sleep but just had coffee at 7pm and now I won't sleep all night :(
Oh, man, do I hear you. I work in health care..asthma and allergies have been SOOO bad this spring. I've gotten maniacal about allergy control and still wake up every morning with a headache, 10 lbs of sand in my eyes and the feeling of golf balls shoved up my nose...GAH!! For awhile the allegra helped..thinking I'm going to have to add a decongestant, too. I can totally sympathize. Although I refuse to stay inside, so I'll probably continue to suffer!

I have a ginormous EE chick that looks very similar, too. At the moment her name is Marion...but she doesn't act like a cockerel and hasn't got much of a comb/wattles yet and most of the other boys definitely have. Keeping my fingers crossed :)

Quote: I am just going to say this..... I read in one of my books or somewhere that you should never let a chicken get too close to your face and eyes, because they will peck.
Not out of meanness but out of curiosity and testing for something to eat.
If this pullet is aggressive to you or others all the time I would get rid of her, if not then I would start to teach the little one how to handle them very carefully(and supervised so he is being safe) and maybe on the lap and facing away from his face.
AND I might not let him hold that one in particular.
I had one that was super friendly until you went to pick her up, then all bets were off.
I just never picked her up unless I absolutely had too.
She was telling me that she didn't like it and I respected that. I have others that don't really mind so it was no big deal.
I might give her a little time and see if there is more aggressive behavior coming from her. Just my thoughts on the matter.
