The chicken police came to my neighbor's looking for her roosters. She doesn't have any. It just a matter of time until whoever complained realizes that I do. I took the hose and squirted Blondie and Fritz whenever they crowed. Fritz figured it out right away. I haven't heard him crow since. Blondie is apparently as dumb as a box of rocks. I may have to replace him with one of his sons. Anyone want a very gentlemanly, but noisy rooster?

I hope you find a home for him soon.

Well, there's a positive to Drama Bahm's predicument. She's eating lots of food and drinking lots of water. She's my little sand eater (and I guess wood chips, too). She ate paper yesterday before she was put into her chick chair. Food, mixed with a tiny bit of chick grit, and water are the only items within her reach now. I'm hoping she develops a taste for food through this experience. I don't know if the other two bully her, or what. I do know they spend their indoor days at the feeder, while Drama Bahm spends her day eating sand from the dusting pan.

I just realized I have NO chickens in the house! I am almost sad.. WOW! I went to go check on them and have our afternoon chat and LOL they were not there. So I am off to go outside, this will deffinatly take some getting used to. I will miss being able to just pop in the room and visit.. lol I think I have issues. Ha Ha Ha!

I was sad when mine went out too!

Bummer, had to get the girls back inside, they were huddling in the middle of that silly little run and the blanket was starting to get heavy. They ran and ran trying to get away from me though, they REALLY didn't want to go inside! Good girls though, I put them in the coop and left the man-door wide open; they're staying inside but have a lot more light that way. Gotta go, kids are trying to kill each other in the basement I think.

Hello there. I do not frequent his thread, but it seems very active.

I am wondering if their is any vet in my area, Pyuallup, that would do swab testing. I believe I have a respiratory thing going on. I have been doing research and I want to know exactly what I am dealing with. Thank you in advance for any advice,

The nearest veterinarian who will see poultry to me is in Tacoma. Jones Animal Hospital. You might check there.
