would post a pic of her but right now there is a communication problem between my husbands camera and the computer! lol! We have been calling and calling around for antibiotics for the girls. It broke my heart today when my son comes home from school looking like hes gonna cry asking are you gonna cull the girls mom! I gentle said that we are doing everything we can but that we really didn't know, awwe man this is hard cause I really don't know what I am doing! Hubby and I put a solution that is supposed to help in their water today and they were really thirsty today so its getting into their system! I will post a pic as soon as a communications treaty is signed between the two systems. Thank you Robin I have my fingers crossed! I have been calling on different antibiotics all day!
Too bad this is a 3-day week end as otherwise I could ship you something !

She has ear mites, nasty! but I tackled them!! Her ears are really looking much better..And from looking at poo and her tushy she is worm free :)
You cannot tell if an animal has worms by looking at it's tushy...you need a stool sample looked at under a microscope for parasite ova.
It is actually cheaper to just worm the kitten...both for worms & tapes than to get a stoll sample done first.
Used to be able to get the tape worm pi;ll (it is a single pill) at most pet stores or ask a vet or feed store.
Cheap.

Pull your duds - you don't want it to explode.
X2...you do not even want a stink bomb explosion !!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope this is a better pic she just wanted to be left alone this am to eat not have some crazy lady follow her with a camera. I personally think she is huge. My husband is the one who named her Pretty Girl! lol!
Today with the sun being out I think today the girls and I are gonna enjoy the sun! LOL! I have my fingers crossed that they all start feeling better! I think right now a little vitamin D will help us all!
Yup, she's a she !!! No idea why she is not laying though.................

I apperently had a dud turkey egg. Only reason I knew it was a dud was the explosion last night in the bator. Oh and the horrendous smell. Now that was so not fun to clean up...
Not all "duds" explode...............most "duds" are just infertile.
But sometimes an egg can get bacteria in it & the black stinky oozy goo is awful !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey VelvettFog

Ya might want to CHANGE your mind about getting WHITE EGG layers
D.gif
I know you have said you can't keep up with your customers demands for eggs.

I just got this months Backyard Poultry Magazine. Here's one for ya. Back in 1979 at the University of Missouri a White Leghorn laid 371 eggs in 363 days

AND another one laid an egg for 448 straight days!

what Brown layer has done that

I have one White Leghorn that is 2 1/2 yrs. old and still lays 5 -6 eggs a week! I can tell its hers because she lays the Biggest egg in my flock
White leghorns start laying at about 20 weeks and are heat tolerant. They don't eat as much as my other girls either!!!!!!!

Better buy yourself a dozen before everyone else gets them

Yanno Ron, I'm tempted. But I really think my customers would say .. hey -- what are these white eggs? Maybe I should get one or two, and just call them "really light tan" :) I could put one or two in each carton, just like I do with my blue eggs. Hmmm....

Where did you say you lived again?

I had a friend who said her DH would NOT eat a white egg said that brown ones were better. he eats three eggs for breakfast. I sold her 11 brown and 1 white egg. Told her to cook two brown and the white one together, if her DH could tell which one was the white one I would give her a free dozen. He guessed WRONG!

I usually put 3 or 4 white eggs, 1 green and the rest brown into a cartoon when I sell them.

My white layers produce just as good as my brown layers and they eat LESS

I live just WEST of you!!! you should be able to find me, I'm probably the only one on the west side that has white eggs

Quote: I had her at a vet..lol I am aware you cant tell just by looking.. She is not my first rescue cat lol.. She was at the vet yesterday morning, She recieved a clean bill of health except for the ear mites, which I had already spotted and was treating with corn oil. It works great! Vinegar also works well for ear mites but I am leary to use it in case she scratched the inside of her ears it would hurt her... She is eatting great today, even more active, and making typing this almost impossible as she is walking all over the keyboard hahahaha
