This Brabanters has the largest crest - so cute!

The black and white EE from the earlier post is just beautiful.

And, oh my gosh - these are SO cute! I have never seen this breed before. I bet they are so fun to watch.

I saw on another thread a while back that someone had a sick chicken, and made a "STUFFED" chicken companion that worked very well. Plus, it was a nice family project apparently. It obviously wasn't totally chicken looking, but enough hat the sick chicken was comforted. A stuffed sock, with some sewn on bits the right colour perhaps! This particular chicken was sitting, roosting like, and the other chicken was sitting next to it. They moved it often so the sick chicken would follow it.

Might be safer than a live chicken of unknown temperament!

I can sew. And I have unused fabric lying around. I could probably whip up a super simple stuffed chicken pretty quick. Great idea! Thanks. At this point, I'll try anything.

Ready for cuteness overload?

This Allpenhaller Spitzhauben / Brabanters cross looks to be a boy. Let me know if you want to add this bundle of cuteness to your flock!

I could go on and on, but I'll be nice and stop there as I need to weed the garden! Badly! Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend

They are all VERY cute! I love the sleepy chickie pic!

Once upon a time, a very long time ago, I remember being told to elevate my legs 4 times a day for 15 minutes (I was pregnant at the time). Have you tried intervals of rest between activites?
That is what I am supposed to do at equal times up and down, and I do when it's rainy; but once I go outside and get dirty, I tend to keep to stay off the furniture (other than my desk chair) so I don't track dirt other places. I have an old chaise outside ... maybe it's time to dig out the cushion for it. (I'm creeped out by the spiders that probably took residence on it during the winter).

That first crest looks really good, not too small at all.

I have some stuffed chickens. My sister bought them at an auction for me as a joke. I would send them along for a good cause.
