So I talked to a member of the PNPA yesterday at the MEN fair. He seemed to think there aren't many owners of Buttercups in the area and said that I should show mine at the fair. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to go about doing that?

Okey dokey! My few minutes are up! Love and miss y'all!!! :love

Don't forget to tell the ones that are close to your heart, that you love them every single day. You never know what tomorrow may bring and for some tomorrow may never come. :hugs

Hi I'm alive
I had a successful first hatch of 40 chicks. But I fear my next batches are no good. I am on vacation today and dad called to say my baton is at 95*

I have had a lot of job interviews and have another in two weeks but I hope to get a call this week saying I got the job as a food safety auditor. I really want that job

I have a new Icelandic rooster that is 5 months old and a direct import from Iceland.
My coop now has a nice roof and I have a new chicken tractor made by my bf

The roof is nice. No more ducking to go in the coop. I need another one made

I told Ean he can have all the apple bins he wants to make tractors to sell in Seattle. I figured they are with $350 easy

How are things here? I have been really busy

Started our coop this weekend. 4x8 shed type with a front porch and back "carport" to park the lawn mower and hang gardening tools. The chicken door to run will come out the right end with an entry door at the left end.

Obviously, the current firepit will need to be relocated!

We installed a window that DH got from a customer. Going to paint the coop 'rocking chair red, with white trim'.

More work/building today.......
Very nice looking coop

Yes I would agree the fire pit should be moved. while your at it, you should probably clear away 30' or 40' of the trees and brush behind the coop for NEXT years EXPANSION

Getting frustrated! I know this isn't the place, and feel free to delete this post if I'm breaking a rule, but I'm looking for an "off-road" tricycle for my 3-year-old. Every time I find one that would work on Craigslist, I either get no response or get a dialogue going that stops. While I'd love to find someone on this side of the water (Kitsap/Jefferson Counties), I'm willing to travel for a good price. I've managed to sell her toddler trike to someone in Downtown Seattle, so I could do both errands at once, if I could just find something. Sigh.

Okay, that said, I had a great meeting with RonB today to pass on some eggs. Hope he has the same success with them as we did!

Remind me, the roos get which feathers in last? I'm giving our chicks to a friend who wants to start a flock, and I'm really hoping they're not all boys. They've feathered out fairly quickly out in the coop with mom, though the 4-week-olds don't really have any neck feathers yet. Sussex mixes, one has a nicely visible Sussex ring going on. The Sussex/Wyandotte is 3-weeks-old and is following in the others' footsteps with a white feather and black highlights. That one will be pretty, I'm sure!

OK sorry but I can't resist. It has been 2 years since we were able to shred some sand and the little back seat nagivator is more than ready ! ! ! We will be leaving sometime in the next month (of course I am not gonna tell ya when). There is also "rumor" one of my BYC buddies may be going with us.

That is a heckuva lotta pink, but those are awesome pictures, or should I say "Aussome" since Quincy is the backseat driver?

Here's hoping you get that job, Rachel!

And congrats on the chicks too.

Whoa, I just noticed a BYC Friend thingie on my profile! Thank you, whoever nominated me. I have said this before, but I will say it again, it's so easy to be friends with folks on this thread. Some of the nicest, most generous people I've ever known.
