Yes sneak them in under her at night and leave them there until she allows them out or she might attack cuz they don't "listen". the chicks will take to her as long as they are as close to day olds as you can get. it might take a couple days for them to learn to talk to mama... but be there in the morning to watch if you can.

bothell feed and deyoungs both have no more chicks for the season, but coop supply in everett will get a new batch of day olds in next friday. So thats probably the best (though NOT a convenient distance! Grrr!!) because on the slim chance that the TWO remaining eggs might have anyone alive in there, that gives them a chance to hatch. What I'm wondering is.. a couple days ago I candled. I could see inside one egg. I didn't look too closely but I was able to see an air cell that looked about the size I'd expect this close to hatching. When I candled the 2 remaining eggs, I could not see *anything*. So I wonder if the one I could see into exploded, I just wasn't able to see into it today for whatever reason, or, if not as many eggs actually exploded and some are simply buried under the shavings with the mess? I was scared to dig through it. Ick. I wonder if I should though.

ETA: in case I might be able to be spared a trip to everett, does anyone know of a feed store in seattle (the further north the better) that I might check for chicks?
