Buttercup finally pooped! How funny is it that we get so excited over this?

Anyway, it's brown (like brown mustard color) and watery. I switched her sulmet water last night to water with a trace of bleach in it. We have to hold her up to keep her beak close to the water so she can drink it. We have to do the same thing for the medicated starter too. She can't lift herself up to do it herself.

On a different note, I can't figure out how to quote only part of a conversation. Oh well.

When the text comes up in the quote box, select and delete what you don't want to quote.

I keep re-designing the chicken run. I think I need to just accept the reality that I will probably build it, and after it is done, say "I wish I had done such and such".

Time to stop designing and start building!

Just got back from the Reber Ranch customer appreciation day! Kids had fun petting a horse and some random persons dog, and the hay ride was fun for them . I bought a bunch of odds and ends for our chicken medicine cabinet, some oyster shell (which I don't need for quite a while yet), grit, a small feeder and waterer, litter for the next coop clean out, whenever that might be! Got a car food sample, free coffee, popcorn, and donuts, and whew! We're home

Now I have company coming in an hour and were all set!

I am really angry with myself. I allowed myself to be duped to drive all the way to Issaquah to sit in a parking lot for an hour and have someone no show to pick up two cockerels - that I held for two days.

All in rush-hour traffic, and when I should have been helping our school pack the classrooms for a move.

UGH!!! And the worst part is that this is the SECOND time I've "sold" these little guys.

No - actually - the worst part of this is the stress these poor little boys went through - it was well over three hours in my car

I have now made a "Craigslist Blacklist" with email, name, and events that led up to the no-show or otherwise flaking out.

My list has a total of three people now.

I will share my "Craiglist Blacklist" with anyone that would like it. If you have one - I'd love to add names/emails to my list as well.

I've also set up all new policies, including *MUST* include a phone number, must paypal payment within 24 hours for me to hold more than 24 hours, must paypal payment before delivery, I will only sit for so long, etc.

I really HATE that I have to do this!
Does anyone else have these issues? I have not ever had these issues buying/selling on Craiglist - we even bought our van on CL! It's just the chicken sales!

Thats just wrong. I have had a guy twice tell me he's heading out to give him my address, I told him Id meet him. Than right before I was to leave he emails me and says Im only paying 20 not 25 so I say no. The second time he tried to get birds from me I told him 25 period dont email me or ask for them. Of course he said fine than I waited all day for a time from him and he didnt show. Now with most of my birds I take them to the auction, I do put adds up on CL starting on Monday and if I still have them to the auction they go or I just keep them.

thank you so much. I figure I have had my "3" things for awhile. I am so exhausted. Mom is doing well and is home. Husband has hardly slept, was not just a boss but a very good friend.

Okay off to swim meet.

I am so sorry for all your going through. I have a friend who has a son doing what yours is doing, he's been doing it for over a year now. I wish kids could really know how we felt when they did this kind of stuff.
My husband lost a friend a few years back ( he was my friend too) the same way. But he didnt have a headach for a week, he came home and told his wife he didnt feel well than said my head is killing me stood up and was gone. Very sad left 4 yound kids.

Yep - was in contact via email; had a phone number (which I didn't call before I got to the meetup location - bad move #1).

Person seemed professional, even postponed from yesterday, all via email. I got to the meetup location at the specified time and called the number.

The phone number was "out of service".

I emailed twice while sitting there, nothing. Still no contact - five hours after the meeting time.

I just don't understand why one person would want to make another person lose time and money, not to mention stressing out animals?

Is it supposed to be funny?

If I am selling anything, I stay put & have them come to me.
If I want something, I go see it.
A BS issue I have with CL is that half the time when responding to an ad, no one ever answers.
If it has sold, why do they not take the ad down ?
