I'm in Onalaska which is 10 miles east of I-5 on Highway 508 just a little South of Chehalis WA.
Just moved back from Hawaii and was so lucky to find this five acres for a real good price. I am hoping to buy the place, I love it here.
2 Buff Orpingtons, 8 Black Australorp, 2 EE 2 unidentified reds and one adorable Turkey Bird.

I went to get my gas can today and some person/s of low character, apparently with a family tree that resembles a stick, has absconded with my said property. I am thoroughly p-o ed. I've never had a problem here in 13 years, now I'm going to have to start putting everything under lock and key. Dang it. Not only did that take my 5 gal can (with 4 gal of gas) but the low lifes also took my oil/gas mix that I use for my weed whacker. I only hope that they poured the 2 stroke mix into their car and fouled their injectors, serve them right.
Then I found out that there has been some burglary activity from neighbors a couple of roads up from me.
On a brighter note, my gals are doing great and getting even bigger. I hope their size is an indication of the size of the eggs I will get.
We did get some sunshine here in Rochester which the girls took immediate advantage of. Hopefully I will see more sunshine on Sunday.
Bedtime.

Sorry to hear, and I do hope they have no idea and put the oil/gas mix in a REALLY nice car

Car prowling and burglary is getting worse around here, hear about it all the time so I'm really sure to lock up.

The night before last one of the kids went out to get something from the car; they forgot to lock it again.

My glove box was open when I got in the car in the morning- sure enough - my GPS was gone.

The only good thing is that I have the serial number; so if they do try to pawn it at a shop they will go where they belong and I will get it back!

Just popping in, busy week with brother in law's wedding (I had to make the cake!), sister in town visiting, and on and on.

Kim and everyone else with chicks...I hope you are enjoying the new babies as much as I enjoy seeing the photos.

4312...hugs, and hope things turn out for David

Welcome any new people and hope everyone is doing well.

Super cute birds! How on earth did you get them all to sit still for a picture?

I've been on BYC for over a year but have not formally introduced myself to fellow Washingtonians. After 35 years in Seattle, retirement from UW Dept of Surgery, I am happily playing in the sun with my critters! Tri-Cities area. You all are great--just like our wonderful state!

Thanks both of you, so much for the help on how to quote only part of a conversation!

I found this awsome building on Craigslist for only $100. It is 18'x7' and 9' tall. Also it is just in Bellevue. But it needs to be taken apart to get it out of their yard and walked piece by piece to the front yard to load it. So the chances of me getting it are about 0. Work for DH's construction co. has picked up which is good, but now he is not available to help me with stuff like this durring the week and I would not even dream about asking him to do anything like this on the weekend as I feel he desurves to relax on the weekends.

So I thought I would throw it on here if any one elts wants it. I found it in the Materials section.

I never thought of looking under "material"....thank you. Great idea.

Too bad you can't pick that up....looks like it would work great.

Sorry to hear ya were visited by less than desirable. Sadly they probably can't get a car new enough to have fuel injection and the pre mix won't bother a carburetor. And actually since there is such a very small amount of oil it probably won't bother injectors either.
I had that happen here once. Then I took a gas can that I was willing to donate to the cause. I made a nice cocktail of engine destruction. Left the can out at the gate. Two days later it was gone and has not happened since. Ya just wanna make sure ya remember not to use said "cocktail" in anything you want to keep running.
I have also learned that if I want to get rid of something just set it by the road with a price on it. The tweakers will steal it in broad daylight. If I put free, it will be there a few days then they will steal it in the middle of the night!
