Sounds like your house building is going well....where are the photos?
I am feeling better....my mom is doing well - she is home. Bothered still by oldest boy...but other 2 are relaxing and are doing well. Tired that all of us walking around on egg shells.
DH is coming around, still a bit shell shocked over the loss of his friend/boss.

if only I could. but great idea. thank you. Had swim meet today....in between INSANE thunder showers...kids don't care...they were already wet.

Little bit of thunder...but did not see any lightning. Kids did well and had a good time. I am exhausted.

Ugh rain. I just want to get in bed in my jammies, eat soup and watch old movies today. I really don't feel like doing anything outside in the cold and wet. Did what I had to do this morning out there (clean the coop, feed and water, measure some stuff) and came back in.

Hallerlake - your scale restoration is GORGEOUS. Congrats on a great find and a wonderful job!

4312 - I can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am about the awful week you've had. And yet you keep going because what other choice is there? Hugs to you - wishing you the strength you need to persevere.

To all of you with chicks or chickens suffering with mystery illnesses - hope they all recover - I admire all you're doing for them to get them well.

CL - an amazing amount of work to build your house, but I just know it's going to be wonderful!

Hope everyone else is well - I'm wishing for some real summer weather - don't need it hot, just more 70 something, clear days. Is that so much to ask?

Oh no, I am sorry you and DH had to go through such a tough week.

I am glad your Mom is home already, hope her recovery is swift.

They're all pure chocolate, so I'm told. The light wasn't perfect for the pics. I got them from Louise Clark in Monroe, I believe she goes by kidcody on BYC. She got her birds from Marc Sarc (did I get the last name right??).

I'm getting some of Rising Star's blue/black chicks next week! Woo-hoo!

Yes they are from Marc line, just wondering if you have two hens and a roo or not. Your very lucky and good luck with them. Im sure your going to be very happy.

But had to make room. We are going on a rustling no no no I mean road trip tomorrow. Good part is we will be in a friends SUV so won't be easy to recognize.

Bad part is we will be in a friends SUV so may not have enough room.

Also just got a cheap car for a few hours of labor. This will be nice as it gets good mileage and the back seat folds so I can stuff chickenz in the trunk and all the way to the front seats. plotting my first late night trip to the midnight chicken supply. So...Einstein wanted a new security cam for F-Day and he picked this one out...after searching on all sites for 2 days.
Comes with cord, etc.

These little cameras are so awesome !
Connect to a small TV and/or a DVD recorder & review the next day on FF and be amazed at what you see going on.
You can watch your kids outside (set the little TV up on your kitchen counter for example)
Or spy on neighbors

Set it up in-coop & watch your birds or broodies.

We have two of them, hubby got tired of me running outside to ck the does all night when they were about to kid. I love them. My girlfriend said we have goat Tv and use to want to come over and watch it with me.

It is probably just my opinion but I wish people wouldn't quote and quote within a quote and so on. This usually includes pictures too, sometimes alot of them. The problem it's seems like I've read the same quote at least half a dozen times (more if it's really popular) and seen the pictures over and over-

I drop in to read the new posts and they turn out to be "old posts," with just a line or sometimes only x2 added to the bottom.. Thanks why it takes hours to go thru all the posts - people end up skimming and miss the "first run news," if there is any. I love the Washingtonians - but, keep getting bogged down in this. Really I don't think we are going to forget what is said. In answering a post most times you just have to say "So and So," happy to hear your loved one is out of the hospital." Or" So and so" those are beautiful chicks your Lassie hatched." The next reader can go back if they wish to see what chicks lassie hatched but doesn't have to quote and take us all with her/him.

Don't beat me, I've been wanting to say this for along time but holding back for fear of reprisal.
