So, you remember the other day when I posted about the 18'x7' three door building that I found on craigslist that I wanted and could not get?
Well I still don't get it

I will find out tomorrow.
The only things I wlill have to do is put wire mesh on the windows, cut a chicken door, put up nest boxes and the roosts! Oh boy so I have my fingers crossed.

I had a great time in Seattle today. I took 6 raspberry and 2 gooseberry plants over to Rainwolf's. Then we drove to Home Depot and got some of the supplies for her new fence. Came home with 3 new chickens, 3 jars of homemade jam and a jar of pickled beets. Somehow I think I came out the best today. Thank you Dellana. And tell your mom thank you too. You are both lovely real people, inspirations.

Dang !! Mommawolf makes awesome pickled beets !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is anyone interested in approximately 50+lbs of Scratch and Peck Grower feed? After debating with myself and considering all options, I have decided this isn't the best feed for my flock. They simply aren't growing as fast as many other birds their age (when compared to my friends' flocks) and I think they aren't absorbing the nutrients like they should. I provide grit but it isn't helping the matter, and despite how much I love my chickens (as evidenced by the fact I sleep in the guestroom with sick birds, LOL!), I just don't want to hassle with scooping out all the extra crumbs from that particular feed and mixing it in with something else so they will eat it. What I have left is worth at least $30 dollars and I'm asking $20 for it, just to pay for another bag of feed. It's currently in my airtight feed container so you'll need your own pillow case to transport it home. It's Grower, for 8-20 weeks. Let me know!
Feed them appropriate feed for thie age, and use scratch as a treat.
ALL my birds LOVE scratch.

Also...who has pullets (off a heat lamp) ready to go to a new home? I would like 2-3 more 6-16 week olds. Light colored Easter Eggers and/or Marans preferred. They will live separately in the new hutch I posted pics of until they are comparable size to my current flock. Let me know if you have anything that might work for me!

Oh...I'd trade the feed I listed above for a pullet as well ;)
HA ha ........................................me !
Selling fast though.
