I feel awful if I actually wrote something that even BYC considers bad! I think I just said ticked off, or angry...
The filters are VERY tight since the upgrade.

Yeah, don't worry about it. If you really did something wrong you'd hear about it. The first time it happened to me, on the old BYC, I answer a medical question using the word a nal. The filters kept changing the word to "grumpy" Lol! I must have edited that post 10 times, completely confused.

What's worse, I finally figured it out and substituted "human vent".

Rainwolf,

The pullets are doing great. I feel kinda bad that they are in quarantine, although I know it's the best long term.

I'm still picking raspberries, the ones in the ground are coming on strong now.
Going to have to start picking currants soon, like tomorrow.

And unbelievably, I found someone with 7 of the panels I need to expand the run. If it doesn't fall through I'll be tripling the run instead of doubling, for $50 less.

Russ- How's the gate coming along?

Awesome!
Does Mo allow you to pick her up yet? I use to put her on my shoulder while I did the feeding and she would get treats while up there :D

The first panel is up and will be cemented in soon... have to have 2/3 people to center and level and then cement the post since the thing is super heave with 2 post and the 3' panel.

My birds are fed well even with little funds... But I use the eggs and meat to feed myself and I sell the chicks to support their feed. So I need them to be healthy happy birdies or I'll start having to pay for them and well I can't really afford to support them without help....

BTW I still have some TINY Bantam Ameraucana's some black and some blues...
They are about the size of my Serama's right now... dunno how much bigger they will get but they are already 4+ months old....

Am I just going to have to come to grips that some of my chickens are less than personable and will always hate me? LOL Some of them really flip out when I try to pet and/or hold them, and these are the ones I have had since they were day olds! Particularly my RIR, Welsummer, and GLW really despise being touched. It's weird.

What kind of treats do you use?

Russ

oh... the reason so slow on the fence.. have to borrow a impact driver in order to drill holes in the cement..... sigh.. waiting to catch my neighbor out so I can ask him.

Don't stop trying, and the way to a chickens heart is through its stomach.

Russ- It's all about the food.

I've read that RIRs and GLWs are more standoffish.

Quit that...bad enabler...no soup for you! I don't know much about bantams. Right now my coop is pretty maxed out? I have two 5' roosts and a dozen LF birds! I don't think I have a place for any more :( I would love them though, somehow I got a pretty soft heart towards Ameraucanas!

They don't get very big and mine are very good layers. And since they lay nice little eggs it means ya get to have 3,4 or 5 eggs for breakfast.
