TC, did you get my PM?
No rush on replying, just that I've had PMs go missing on here before.

Quote: I would use shaving for new chicks. I am using the chips in the run. Shavings are easier to clean out I would think.
I find "coffee chaff" for free on the internet. This is what I use. It's lighter, so tends to fly around more. But it's FREE! Just look on Craigslist - or go talk to local coffee roaster around you.
It makes the coop smell like coffee too =) And my girls have never tried to eat it (although they eat sawdust like it's candy!)
Yes they are the eggs from you! You sold me 15 and only one was not fertle, so I have 14 lil fluff balls. The momas have been sharing the babies.
I am so excited to have different colored chicks as all the ones I hatched before from my old rooster and my mixed hens were all the same, no matter what hen they came from. Hope you guys like the pictures.
THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the redheaded ones!!
Thank you, I assume those are the BLRW!
Oh man, where was this awesome advice on Tuesday?!!! I'm going to designate a pocket comb in the tool bag for that purpose. Thanks!take a simple pocket comb and hold the nail with that. Then you won't get your nail nailed by a hammer. Just a thought, might help! Couldn't hoit!
I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. He had a clinic here in the Tri-Cities!! I ended up buying the package where you can go have the sx repeated as many times as necessary/possible. I wonder if that still holds true now that the business changed names.
I feel you!!! I have been busting my rear to get my silkie pen done and I feel it in every part of my body! And I am not quite done! Gotta do some digging and leveling for the pavers, and then put the footing in the run. I found arbor chips! From local arborists that is sold down at the new feed store on Avondale in Redmond. Like $12 a yard! Awsome stuff! I mat have to get some to top off my other run too!
Who here sells hatching eggs for Blue Laced Red Wyandottes? Also, who sells chicks/eggs of light colored (white, blue, gray, etc) easter egger descent? I want to know where I'm getting hatching eggs next spring! I won't be hatching our "mutt" eggs as I know I still want pure-ish bred chickens. I like their look better in my backyard![]()
