Well I have a hedge that is growing more and more unruly as I sit here, so I am going to go, and do battle with the hedge.

And think how handy that will come in, if Salmon ever spawn in your yard.

I have always wondered if everyone names their first RIR- Rhodie? I did.

I would have named her "Henny Penny" - but my daughter insisted it HAD to be Rhodie. ;)

My oldest boy named Caunnie, and my youngest son managed to appropriately name the Light Brahma "Drama".

DH said that it was most likely a rock got up into the rotor and everything should be fine now that the rock is back out of it. He did though mention that you should have the CV joints inspected just in case the rock somehow got in one of them. I believe that Les Schawb will check your CV joints for free. But double check to make sure that I have remembered that correctly.

Cool. Thanks! DH said the van drove fine today. I'll show him this post. I can take it to Les Schwab tomorrow afternoon.

I'm so bummed!

So, the Scotch eggs were made, and I made potato salad, and green beans and tomatoes and mustard, and Perrier, napkins, plates, flatware, the whole thing and loaded up the boat. We got the crab pots and bait all tucked away and off we went.

Get almost to the marina, and traffic is at a standstill. After inching along slowly, we get to spot one of those folks in the bright orange jackets - she came over and told us that we were not going to be able to launch today. Seems it's some kind of canoe regatta today and the marina is closed to ALL other boating! This is the first day we actually went out, because the weather has been horrid.

Oh well, I guess dinner is already cooked now.

So sorry! That's a lot of work getting a boat ready to go (we know from experience). I hope you enjoy your dinner though. It sounds delicious.

My chickens LOVE pasta of any type. I don't even have to dye it. Sometimes though I cook it in chicken or duck broth for them (the dog gets the broth - homemade from carcasses after deboning). I think maybe your rhodie is just a crotchety gal!

I always give my girls our leftover spaghetti. It's so much fun watching them slurp it down!

Is Purina chicken food awesome? it looks like a lot of you use it. I wouldn't feed my dog Purina, so I just sort of wrote the rest of their stuff off.

I don't know. It's all I know. Before I got chickens I went to a chicken class hosted by Purina and they gave me some coupons that knocked the price low - so that's what I started with. I had $5.00 off both bags of feed that I bought.

We would have never fed our dog Purina, either. He got the specialized spendy stuff. DH was very picky about dog food.
