I have this thing that was left on the property that hubby wants gone. It's the back top of some sort of truck. It's 8 x 16. There is no floor. It's got nice steel walls. He won't let me use it for keeping animals even though I think it would work great. I have no idea how anyone would haul it away short of a big trailer. Hubby wants to cut it up with a plasma torch and take it to the dump in pieces. Never know what someone else can find a use for so thought I would ask if anyone here was interested.

Rats! I missed it this year. I love going to the Scottish games (I'm part Scottish, part Irish - along with English and German... I'm a mixed breed. LOL!)

Sound like you had a great vacation.

it is our yearly trip.. and is usually bout the same time as youngest's bday. Oh I am definately a mixed breed myself: Irish, Welsh, Dutch, Scottish, English and Cherokee. The last 2 are from mom's side. LOL

I look forward to the games every year!

Chickielady - the house is coming along nicely! Are you guys building it yourself?

I grew up in a home my step-dad and brother built. My brother started working on it at the age of 12. I didn't have to do any actual building other than help hold wood, but I had to do finish work (taping, sanding, that sort of thing).

Hi all. Got a friend here tonight fixing a few things on the coop and prepping it to paint this week. He takes a long time but is cheap and does great work. Can't wait to take pics of it when it's all done!

So...Ricky is becoming a huge nuisance! I know, I know, ROOSTER! Duh, but not only is he crowing...loudly. But he's doing it from 5:25am for many, many minutes on end; he'll stop for a minute and start up again. Seriously, he gets up, stands outside the coop, and crows at the coop until every last bird is up and out. It's ridiculous. So, I have questions. Will he get louder? Will he ever crow LESS than he does now, like once he gets all this out of his system? Or is he always going to be up with the sun and crow without ceasing all morning. I have very close neighbors and I'd rather keep the peace with them even if roosters are legal, than keep Ricky unfortunately. He's such a great little boy, but I'm at my wits end and DH said NO MORE early crowing or Ricky would be dinner. Ugh. Help! Tonight I have him in a cat crate, in the coop, with a towel over it to prevent light from getting in, but I'm worried he might not get enough air at night? I need everyone's opinions on how to keep him, if I can.

That would be a terrible waste to scrap this. It could be a good coop or even a garden shed. If you do cut it up don't pay to take it to the dump. Find a local scrap yard you can sell it for a few $$

Most of the door is there too as is the track. It's missing one of the pannels when you drop it down. I told him I could just make one for the top that was a window or screen and keep a couple sheep in there. He just doesn't like it. Mom thinks it would be the worlds best wood shed. Just put pallets down and start stacking. Water will pool in front of it during winter, but not inside. It's up on a little hill. I need to get some dirt to raise the ground up about 3 inches in a 4x12 area and there won't be a puddle there.

My little visitor to the butterfly bush right outside my kitchen window. Not sure it is the same one but I have seen a tiny frog like this for the last 3 weeks. It is setting on 1/2" pvc and that is a normal ink pen.

Cute! We keep finding those too; the kids LOVE them and carry them around. They try sometimes to get a chicken to eat them but so far mine won't go near anything that moves except and earthworm. Chickens.
