Quote: Hmmm, I realize of the six Ameraucanas I bought at the poultry show in March, four were boys too! It will be interesting to see if my Silkies are the same. I'll just be annoyed if I don't get a single blue female out of the bunch!

How old are they? And B means Bantam? Just wondering...

Quote: Sure give us a try most we can do is not comment. Which (believe it or not) I some times do if I don't have anything to say and sorry I just am not really a children type guy but please feel free to post for others to enjoy. No offense but children are one of the things that I just really don't know how to interact about/with.

Yay! Cecelia and Maria just came to pick up their bird from me. Now I have 11 layers and am quite happy :) Flower will be much happier somewhere else, my big girls are meanies to her all the time!

Awesome! I has forgotten that today was the day they were gathering their flock!

Uh oh... Bradley Farm is a local breeder within 30 minutes of me (Tacoma/University Place) and Anthony, the man who runs the place is a very nice young man. I'm not adding any chickens OR ducks to my place in the near future, but if anyone is looking for any of these breeds or birds I can hook you up with the phone number and address! I've gone out to Bradley Farm before and he has a nice, clean little operation. Pretty, healthy birds! (And dwarf Nubian goats, pigs, dogs)

Chick and Duckling Sale!

We have approximately 100 chicks and ducklings that are between 1 day and 2 weeks old that are ready for their new homes. All of the chicks are only $3.00 each, and if you buy 5 you get 1 free! This sale is available all weekend long and you can mix and match chicks and ducklings. Now is a good time to get chickens that will be ready to lay by next spring, so take advantage and stock up! We currently have Delawares, Lavender Orpingtons, Exchequer Leghorns, White Jersey Giants, and Dorkings available.

I saw this on their Facebook feed! I'm so tempted by the lavender orps, but I can see this getting out of hand so easily....and I really don't want to set up the brooder again :p. I will be good, I will be patient, I will keep my flock small until we have more property (repeat mantra).
