BCM X Crele Chantecler eggs developing nicely & pip is the 16th.....
(this will be very interesting !)

Crele Chantecler X Partridge Chantecler eggs doing great & pip is same day.

R/C Light Brown Leghorns 5 doing great & pip is the 21st...so far looking good !

Just got back from a nice long morning at church, family fed some delicious soup, kids ALL down for naps, and I have decided to take a nap! I changed my mind about chicken trading today. Y'all have me scared! I think the only way I could safely add new birds at this point without quarantine is going to be getting eggs or day old chicks. Dang, I really want more layers now but I have no quarantine setup. We will keep Dartha for now and the kids won't be allowed in the yard with the chickens unsupervised, or I will keep the chickens locked up more.

Great pics! So glad Ethan is doing well! I'm still waiting for crowing from Louie, the other Silkie I still have. Has Ethan started crowing? Anyone know how long before a Silkie rooster will start crowing? They are almost 9 months old now.
