I had to google Hamburgs. They are incredibly beautiful.

Russ

I know, right? That's just icing on the cake for me. They have everything I need in regards to utility as well. They should take to our flock's tree-roosting lifestyle quite well and also lay a ton of eggs while adding very little to our feed bill. And I love the more intelligent breeds. I think I'm going to get one gold-spangled, one gold-penciled, and one silver-penciled. This is just a quirk, but of the five varieties readily available from hatcheries, I think the silver-spangled would be too similar to my Leghorns and we already have one blue bird, so I think I'm going to go with one each of gold-spangled, gold-penciled, and silver-penciled. I just can't believe how long I have to wait!!! Nobody has any till spring.

My son at My Little Pony class at Ferrel McWhirter Park in Redmond

Here it he dog house I got for free last night! Thank you Craigslist!

The cows pushing each other around while a couple chicks watch.

My scale goes up to 5Lbs. When I tried to weigh this zucchini from my garden it was too heavy!

Here is my son holding the above zucchini in front of 4 zucchini plants.
Keep in mind he is 46" tall!

Wow, love the crafts!

I adore the chicken beads - do you make them yourself?

Beautiful earrings, too! I'd be curious to know how you clean your feathers? If you do? I have been saving my brabanter feathers as they are speckled and very pretty and thought of doing something with them on Etsy - but not sure how to treat the feathers?

I do make the beads myself. I melt and shape the glass with a propane/oxygen torch and put them right into a kiln to anneal them. Annealing cools the glass very slowly so it does not stress and crack.

OK - Northend meetup! Third Place Books

I'd like to propose this Wednesday the 12th at 6:30 p.m. at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park.

These are the folks that have RSVP'd so far, hope most of you can make the date/time I'm proposing!

  • Honeysuckle hills
  • Hallerlake
  • Terrorbird
  • JennS
  • Farmin' mama

Anyone is welcome!

I saw someone request school hours - I am not able to do this - but you're more than welcome to schedule something, too!

We can get a table close to the big chess set/kid area. If you haven't been before, they have a food court with lots of types of food you can purchase, pizza, mexican, bbq, japanese, bakery, etc.

yay, fun!
