Hubby's is a yellow gold knot design. We got them from Scotland.
And I'll be able to identify you now by your cool neck tattoo!
Awesome! :) I need to get a pic of my neck tat...Iooked today, and didn't have one in my "tats" file..lol

Great pics! So glad Ethan is doing well! I'm still waiting for crowing from Louie, the other Silkie I still have. Has Ethan started crowing? Anyone know how long before a Silkie rooster will start crowing? They are almost 9 months old now.
Thanks!! No crowing yet from him, but he's still adjusting. Your birds you showed pics of are gorgeous!

Romeo is very handsome!

Thanks very much! He's such a calm boy and we enjoy him!

This one's for the quackers on the thread. Was a stock handler at a herding trial today, and I thought this duck was so cool. Had beautiful pattern and a pom pom (I know it's really a crest, but pom pom sounds more fun) on its head!

Well I shouldn't be allowed to go to the auction by myself. I ended up bring home 15 rabbits, 2 Australian Diamond doves. 2 Java Rice finches, and 6 chickens (I think that one may be a roo

).

I spent yesterday, working on a little shed/play house. The shed is now a quarantine pen for the chickens. I am using my 4'x4' brooder pen for 12 of the bunnies. The breeding pair of Chinchilla rabbits came with a divided cage,so they have semi private accommodations. Today I have been able to get a double breeders cage cleaned up. I bought the cage on craigslist a couple years ago.I had hoped that it would work with the small finches, but the bars of the cage are to wide for the small birds. I am hoping that the cages will work much better for some of the smaller bunnies.

In the mean time all but one of the bunnies are in my front yard. The other bunny is now named Harvey, and is living in my living room. He is a Flemish Giant, and is bigger than all the Yorkies. So far the dogs seem to understand that Harvey can kick their behinds. I have given Harvey a litter box, and so far so good. I am really hoping that I will finally have an indoor bunny. Of course it doesn't hurt that I really love Flemish Giants too.

The prices at the auction were really low due to the volume of animals. The auction house was closed last weekend because the the holiday. So this week was it was much bigger than normal. I am hoping that I will be able to re-sell some of the bunnies in the next couple of weeks.

I now just need a little more energy in order to get everything done. I have been over doing things, and I am again paying for it. Still the critters keep me moving, and give me something that I have to do daily.

Oh my! You got it bad.

Good of you to rescue them.

RE: southside get together.

It's getting too late in the season for a covered area in a statepark I think.
I wouldn't mind a potluck but I can't host such a thing. (think 2 guys/house keeping. My eldest son lives with me and truthfully he's a slob, worse then me even.) It couldn't be outside I have no patio or even a picnic table. My wife wasn't very big on eating outside so I never bothered.
But I'm willing to travel for such an event.

I am more than willing to host a potluck at my house, anytime after I get my kitchen cabinets installed. DH is planning on installing the cabinets right after he gets back from Australia. So it should be after the first week of October. I am located in Enumclaw, but the place isn't hard to find. So if the group is interested enough, and wants to meet up feel free to come on over.

ohhhh jb... i have weekends off for a couple months.... I can go to a auction and check it out! and sell my lemon orp and buff orp? how does selling work?

I wanna go! I'm never sure when DH will be home from work, so possibly my kids may need to come..is that OK? They can play chess while we talk chickens. ;) I am really close, just south of LFP, in Seattle.
