Thanks for letting me know about Jeanine, what a stinker! I will be having some teaching moments with her today on obeying grownups. I had no idea you had both warned her as well, I didn't think she was doing that much. She's going to need some counsels in obedience here for the next couple weeks until she learns to heed grownups. Perhaps when you comE over this week we can practice her obeying YOU too! I do think she's probably provoking the birds in a way I haven't seen, whatever that may be its unacceptable; that's why Dartha is staying :)

Agreed. The only one I let walk around my yard is Renee. I will bring my muck boots for tomorrow and give them a good wash before going in my own yard with them when I get back. Thanks for the heads up!

Thank you for the privilege of being able to be around your flock! Just so you know... I have always washed the soles of my shoes and the soles of my kids shoes just before leaving my house. From the point of getting washed, everyone is walking on concrete or the front yard grass, where my birds have never been, to get into the vehicle. When I've worked in your run, I have washed the soles and sides of my work shoes in bleach water before leaving my house, as well, then I have changed into them after I have gotten onto your land.

She 4. 4-year-olds require repeat reminders. That's how they learn. Neither Bob nor I were bothered by it because we both understand the mind of a 4-year-old has a very short-term memory. Shoot! For that matter, the mind of a 10-year-old has a very short-term memory!

FWJ,

I had no trouble with your kids following my directions. When I growled that they should get out of my way, they did. :)

4? 10?
shoot, I'm at that special age where I can't remember a thing.....

LOL! My 10-year-old... he's too quick-witted for me. Sometimes, when I send him to his room to write sentences because he didn't do what I or his dad asked him to do - the first time - he reminds me that I don't remember what his daddy asks me to do, either. I promptly tell him that I'm 44. I'm old. And, I have earned the right to forget!

And let me tell you - he frequently reminds me that I came home with 3 chickens even after daddy said "no chickens". Sigh! I guess I can't teach by example.
