I have not been to a poultry show yet that cost to get in. The cost is getting OUT!

I had thought about that, but they were dead center (not where I wanted to put the coop or shed) and taking up a good portion of my already small city lot. With a 6 hen limit, I don't need a coop that big and we have plans to sell this place in the next year or two, to get some real land. That in mind, I think a potential buyer looking at a house in the city would rather have a nice yard their kids can play on than big, oddly placed concrete slabs. If I find a nice slab like that on the property I end up buying where I can have all the chicks I want, you can be sure I'll be using it to it's full potential

What about leveling a spot, lay pea gravel & place the hunks as a patio or stacking for a raised bed or firepit area ?

Dry Lighting

I am so very scared for you !
I lived in Tonasket for a few years and we had dry lightening alot...and also lots of fires......SCAREY !!!!!!!!!

It's Fall y'all (which means most of the plants I intended to transplant should have been moved by now

).

I went out to the garden today with sandwich baggies & picked 4 FULL baggies of Nastie-sturtiam seeds, a baggies of bachelor Button seeds, and another of Butter-Cream Hollyhock seeds...the Pink Hollyhock is not ready to seed head yet...............all in the dehydrator now, on low.

Yay! We're misty right now, too, but we're on the "wet" side. I'm glad to hear your side has a little bit of moisture, too.

It was cloudy & threatening rain here yesterday...but it all went east.
Today is sunny & warm...75 degrees.
So where is the rain ?

Did I ever show you guys the case of wine I got from her with Mom & Dad's Dog pictured on the label ...her name is Molly and the labels said "Molly's Winery" and Mom & dad were THRILLED !!!!!!!!!!

And soapy water will drown them even better. I keep a spray bottle of it around in case I get a wasp in the house. I'm not sure how you'd take out a whole nest, except maybe dump a bucket over it at night?

DH used engine starter before.....freezes them.
