Quote: Steady as she goes. Just working and doing the grow out thing. I am so not patient! Lol!

I hear ya. I am firing up the incubator next week for the first time since mid april....and I'm already impatient!!!! LOL!!! Yeah, I am asking for an Hovabator Genesis for Christmas. But I would so be ready to hatch something now! I just seem to have a hard time waiting to see what I have. I am good when they are small but then it's like hurry up already! Lol! favs and silkies are so slow to mature.
Are your fav's laying yet? I'm sure I could squeeze a few in if you wanted!!! LOL!!!

Where'd everybody go??

I spent 5 hrs today shopping for a dress for homecoming for my oldest DD today................with no luck......sigh. Well, "I" thought that there were plenty of gorgeous options that fit her well, but none worked in her opinion. Tomorrow I am taking her along with my middle DD to the mall and meeting another mom there and 5 other girls, so they can all shop together......I needed some adult convo tonight!!! LOL!!!!

Quote: AWESOME nice to see ya T glad ya are doing well. Just wish you folks oveer there wouldkeep yer smoke home!!!
Honestly, I don't think we have any more room for smoke. so some of it has to go to your side. What is scary/sad is that we are expecting more dry lightning tonight. Also, the fire that is buring in the Alta Lake area - many have been evacuated - was started by boys target shooting at EXPLODING targets. I have no problem with exploding targets - they are fun. But not in a dry area with no water available. Poor boys. they did turn themselves in, but their parents are no responsible for any and all expenses of fire fighting and any homes that are lost and property. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I think all of our side of WA is on fire. it is crazy. Wenatche is 2 hours from us - we were suppose to go today - but the smoke is so thick that they cannot see across the street. Also a lot of games have been moved out of Cashmere, Wenatchee and Ellensburg and sent to us, and Moses Lake and Seattle. It is really bad.

Stay safe!!!

Thank you. We are good. We are surrounded by green alfalfa fields and apple orchards. Heather is in a bit of a scary area. It is just scary all around. So many people displaced. So much destroyed.

I ended up with 10 limes in my co-op fruit basket today. What do I do with them? I've never made anything with lime before.
My MIL makes a lime cream pie that everyone seems to love..I could probably get the recipe from her tomorrow. I know it is easy to make, and takes the juice and zest of like 5 limes.

you could squeeze them and make margaritas

squeeze them and make fajitas or carne asada

Beautiful garden!
What kind of pumpkins you growing this year?
I did New England Pie for us and the chickens.
I was told smaller pumkins would keep longer.
I hope so as lot of my big ones go bad to soon.
Our blueberries were great this year so I imagine yours were also.
Got the nets up in time before the deer got them.

Thanks! I have a couple of different pumpkins planted, one mini pumpkin plant, one Howden (regular big pumpkins) and a few of the Cinderella style pumpkins, I forget what they are called...something french! They are flatter and have warts and bumpies on them! They are my favorite kind. Yes, our blueberries were awesome this year, and we put in a ton of new plants this year. Blueberries seem to be everyone's favorite, and we never have enough to freeze to last us throught the year! They just get eaten up so quick fresh! So we more than doubled how many plants we have this year. Can't wait for them to mature!!!!

Tamara - The drive to your place was simply gorgeous and I wish I needed an excuse to come there and get some birds! LOL Fantastic pics of your gardens, what an amazing place you have! Sorry about dress shopping with your daughter; I put my poor mother through hell trying to find the perfect dresses for those things...I totally remember it.
