Honestly, I don't think we have any more room for smoke. so some of it has to go to your side. What is scary/sad is that we are expecting more dry lightning tonight. Also, the fire that is buring in the Alta Lake area - many have been evacuated - was started by boys target shooting at EXPLODING targets. I have no problem with exploding targets - they are fun. But not in a dry area with no water available. Poor boys. they did turn themselves in, but their parents are no responsible for any and all expenses of fire fighting and any homes that are lost and property. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
I think all of our side of WA is on fire. it is crazy. Wenatche is 2 hours from us - we were suppose to go today - but the smoke is so thick that they cannot see across the street. Also a lot of games have been moved out of Cashmere, Wenatchee and Ellensburg and sent to us, and Moses Lake and Seattle. It is really bad.

Thanks. I'm still so mad that it happened but, live and learn. Next time I won't tell DH about the bees and will take care of them myself. Or I'll rustle me up a Chicken Rustler to come take care of them somehow that won't kill my chickens. I'm seriously so glad she's not suffering anymore though, she went downhill fast between yesterday and today.
So sorry Jessica!![]()
Need a ladder to get the feed in but I thought the idea was interesting and some of you like to see it..............

Welcome, I too am from the Dry side of the state. - Omak. From Cheney (west Spokane area and home of EWU). Currently have 6 week old Buff Orps, one for each of my kiddos; Dog, Tweaty, Bella, and Spiderman. Then 2 2-week-old RIRs that are my babies named Lovely and Jo (short for Jolan), named after two precious girls I met this summer on a trip to Haiti.
After a long day at work I came home to find my Silkie roo (in my avatar) dead. I am not happy to say the least. What a craptastic way to end the day!![]()

I live on Whidbey Island and am down to one lonely hen, i was wondering if anyone in the area had and chicks or hens they would like to sell. Thanks for your time.
OK, my turn for garden pics! I only took photos of the veggie garden though. Finally caught up on the weeding (for the most part!) last week, so I took pics. No picks of flowers or the backyard which is the fruit garden area, with 30+ blueberry bushes, 60 ft of raspberry rows, 30 ft of grapes, + 10 apple trees, and a few pear trees too!
This is the view of the veggie garden from our front deck. With two ancient Rainier Cherry trees beyond....
